Finely Ground Espresso Coffee
This coffee is quite a fine grind. Almost too fine for most other brew methods but Espresso or Moka Pot. I have used it in my espresso machine, but for convenience it works rather well in an Aero Press. The taste is pretty smooth and actually better than I expected. I purchased the 36 oz can. I usually prefer to buy whole beans, but that doesn't appear to be an option, at least not through Amazon. I didn't look that hard, but it might be available in whole bean form. That way you have the option to adjust the grind to your brewing method and taste preferences. The main reason I tried this coffee was the cost. It was a decent value for the type, quantity, and quality of coffee. I drink a lot of strong dark coffee. Buying a Five Pound Bag or two of Whole Beans is not unusual for me. I would expect this can to last me about 10 to 15 days at most, if I didn't use other coffee's in between. This brand will probably displace a similar coffee that costs twice as much, or more in my pantry. I would prefer a whole bean version, but it won't sit around long enough to deteriorate enough to become unpalatable for me. It would just be nice to have to option to adjust the grind for different methods. It actually clogs a Pour Over Filter, since it's so finely ground. I have my Espresso Machine, but cleanup and set up is cumbersome. The Aero Press is quick and convenient for one cup and can easily be done twice for a second person or second cup. This coffee was a pleasant surprise and better than I had expected. I'm only a quarter of the way through the can, so I'll see if it maintains that status until the next can.My usual cup requires at least 60 grams of Espresso Grind and this coffee is not much different. I'll try to fine tune it a little and see how it does.. It goes well with some citrus peel and cinnamon for a little variety and extra flavor. My preference is Black, Hot, and Strong. This coffee didn't dissapoint like many others made promises, but didn't deliver. I had this Coffee in NY or NJ some years ago, but I didn't remember how good it was. It's on par with many other "Yellow Bag" Brick brands and similar type coffees. It may not be the best, but it certainly isn't the worst and will stand on it's own against most of the competition I buy a few similar brands in Whole Bean form that seem to have a slight edge when compared to this brand, but not at this low a price.I took one star off, since the grind is very fine and not that compatible with brewing methods that would generally be better served with a coarser grind. If I find it in Whole Bean form at a reasonable price, then I will take a second look at adding the fifth star.I would recommend trying this coffee if you like The Espresso type of Coffee. It's a good value for the price.

Hard to Say This is a Value!
The only thing that I liked about this coffee is it came in an old fashion metal can that is genuinely recyclable. The coffee is just not good. If there are espresso coffee drinkers that like this I suggest that they have never tasted good espresso. The price is the retail price of the large Cafe' Bustelo 36 oz from two years ago before the "pan-dem-ic" and the so called Putin inflation. Two years ago $12.99 (0.36 cent/oz) purchased a mediocre espresso that was passable. Now that same $12.99 buys a rancid foul tasting coffee in a metal can.The Cafe La Llave is a second choice among these three brands. Next I will try the Café El Morro - "Gourmet Dark Roast Espresso Coffee" that sells at the .36 cent price point.Suffice it to say, these are convince coffee selection and I am not a coffee aficionado or why would I buy ground beans or even per-roasted beans. I just like a good cup of strong and tasty coffee from my Italian coffee machine while on a fixed income. The better coffees, illy, Medaglia D'Oro, Cafe Gavina etc. are all selling at about double or more. I suspect if your buying this product you must be trying to find a value. This is not a value unless you like to save the planet by not buying plastic packaged coffee.
