Read for comprehension, not for speed. 1276 is the stock number and 294 is the actual star count
You'll note the number "1276" prominently in the product title, and the product seems to be self-evident: gold foil stars, to apply to student papers, achievement charts for kids, etc. BUT, while that "1276" might lead you to believe there will be 1,276 of those gold-tone rascals in the package, don't jump to conclusions. If you read down the page to the description (or when you receive the package, if you didn't read down the page, my voice of experience), you will learn that the actual count is 294 stars, not 1,276. So you will need to be more stingy in your awards to students. What is "1276" then? It's the stock keeping number from the packager, Teacher Created Resources. Their package says to "Inspire a Smile" (but only do it 294/1276th as often as you might have been thinking initially).Indeed, there are 294 of them, they are gold-toned, and they are five-pointed stars on self-adhesive foil paper.

Love this
Love it especially with the quarantine the Kids being home school giving them stars everyday keeps them on tract and look forward for the star for the day and if they get all 7 stars they get a prize at the end of the week

Sticks to fabric easy
So these stars are great, however not so great if your child gets a hold of them and decides to stick them to stuff. The adhesive on the stickers is so strong that I can’t peel them off the blanket they are stuck too. We initially bought then to put on his school t shirt at school instead of getting rewarded with candy. But his school T-shirt is $35 so we decided against the idea of sticking them to anything other than paper. Glad I found that out before sending them to school

Old style but gold still motivates!
I bought these for fun, I only teach twelfth grade these days and was going to use them for a bit of fun.I quickly discovered that 17/18 year olds will actually compete to to get themselves a gold star. We even have a gold star chart now that the class made for themselves so they can keep track of who is winning, late teens can cope with winners and losers, especially if the teacher keeps things pretty even by cheating now and then.Used properly this is an excellent, old school, motivational tool for almost any classroom and the stars are easy to peel and apply to work.

Perfect!
So, I’m the mom friend at school. Somebody once suggested to me that I should buy some gold star stickers, so I did. I handed these out throughout the day to my “kids” and everyone loved them! I carry them in my school binder now and hand them out occasionally when I see a “kid” of mine doing something good. :)

It always amazes me how little ones are so pleased with such a small complement on their good works.
My little Preschool kiddies love that they can earn these on their charts when they behave appropriately . Manners are sorely lacking in today's society, as a Preschool teacher, I have taken upon myself to be the MOM that is always available. This works out well as a good many of my students live in my neighborhood. They do things around my garden for Stars.Thank you so much...

Not what the description said
Description says 1 inch square at the top of the write up but then it says 1/4 inch square further down. I wanted 1 inch stickers, got tiny ones. Description is confusing and inaccurate. Not what I thought I was ordering.

Kind of cheap packaging. Too expensive.

Moral boosters
Motivates staff and everyone seems to enjoy the gold stars. I wish they were a bit bigger but they are still effective.
