Glass eye shields don't scratch as easily as plastic. Just cut your own piece of clear glass (not included) to the size shield you prefer. Fits most grinders we carry (except Diamond Max, Power Max, and Impulse.)

Especially for the price, works extremely well and has saved my nose and glasses from glass shards and water! No problem to install.

Easy to install, eas to use, works well, doesn't get in the way
Easy to install with the screws included with the glass grinder. There are no dedicated screw threads in the grinder top plate, so you will have to be careful not to over-tighten. Having said that, the support feels very sturdy when installed. Doesn't include a glass or plastic shield so you'll either have to order one separately or make it yourself (a few minutes work). The shield just rests on the two rubbery discs on the top surface of the support and is held under the tab at the back, so it is super easy to install and remove the shield itself. However, the only way to remove the shield support is to unscrew it (minus 1 star), and you wouldn't want to do this too often as it could strip out the threads made in the grinder top plate. If this happens, you can simply move the shield over to the next set of holes in the grinder top plate and reattach. It'll be a little off-center but will still work just fine. I would recommend leaving the eye shield support in place after use unless your storage space is vertically limited.
