Ventriloquism Made Easy: How To Talk To Your Hand Without Looking Stupid!

A fantastic book 5hat teaches you how to be a great ventriloquist. It covers manual pronunciation together with must needed exercises. It details puppetry, and outlines the varieties the varieties of available puppets. It gives you a variety of initial puppet selections and recommendations. Most important, it explains the varying methodologies of keeping your friend alive. Techniques such as near voice, distant voice, muffled voice and other advanced methodologies are taught. Some of these advanced techniques include singing, eating, and line switching. Had enough? Well there's lots more. Jokes and sample dialogues are also included. The author covers methods for finding and seeking these necessary techniques. The book outlines cataloging and keeping track of the best of all of these findings.When I finished the book, and had practiced all of the exercises, I performed for my wife. She said, that my lips did not move, and best of all, she was certain, that my initial friend was alive, and he did the talking.

I bought this for my 7 year old who became passionate about ventriloquism after America’s Got Talent featuring Darcy. I bought a Melissa and Doug cheerleader doll, too. It seems like the book would be too adult in it’s look, but my daughter actually took to it strongly and enjoyed reading it! Other reviews were right in that kids will like this book and it gave her some great tips to get started from ground zero.

This is a good book, with detailed introductory information on how to learn to do ventriloquism. This book would be appropriate for teenagers or adults. Included in this book are a few poor-quality back and white photos, and almost half of the book is dedicated to"comic dialogues". It would be nice if this book had info on more advanced techniques or more detailed instructions. Overall, I recommend this book, as I haven't found a better one on this topic yet. LOVE THIS BOOK!

This is an excellent book, well written, brief yet comprehensive. IT covers various styles of theventriloquist's art. It is fun , but not that easy! But made easier! Each goal is logical and it doesn't miss bits out.He knows what he is talking about!Thankyou Paul.

Honestly, I had hoped for more. It's a good book with some good tips and for the price it's not a disappointment. However, the nuts and bolts of it can be found on YouTube actually demonstrated. What this book does that they don't is get more into performance and tricks to hide the difficulties. There are certain sounds difficult to make with the mouth closed, this book does give useful tips on how to say them while actually moving your mouth and just hiding it as well as going into the actual methods you should use.

A couple of months ago, my 10-year-old decided he wanted to be a ventriloquist. I suppose part of the reason is so that he doesn't have to bother with math and spelling and talking is what he does best, but the point is, this is what he's interested in right now. My boyfriend bought him a ventriloquist puppet and I purchased this book. Late at night, my son will read the book and laugh out loud. It has scripts one can use, and according to my son, the jokes are hilarious. He loves this book, and I love that it keeps him interested in reading and learning a craft.

I really can not say anything that others more eloquent than myself have already said. Ventriloquism seemed like a very difficult and mysterious art form before reading this book. Not anymore, the craft is broken down into clearly explained steps that are really quite easily accomplished. As any performer knows it is not the song that is sung, or magic trick that is done, or the joke that is told, it is always "how" it is performed, that is what sets apart the practitioner from the artist. This book will set you on the path of becoming an artist.

Quite literally it's as if my puppet now has a life of it's own. He will sit in a chair before I turn off the light and go to sleep. In the morning he is in the bed with me. I have considered consulting a Priest.

bought for our Grandson for Christmas it will be great.

Es hat Spaß gemacht das Buch zu lesen. Es steckte einiges Neues drin, sowie viel zum Schmunzeln und sogar Dialoge zum Nachspielen. Just perfect!

Bought this for my grandson. He seemed to enjoy the book as he is keen on ventriloquism. I didn't get to read the book but he did recount an age-inappropriate mother-in-law joke which went over his head.
