M.V. Trading 201-08 Chinese Porcelain Soup Spoons, 5¼-Inch Long, 3/4-Ounce, Set of 6 Spoons

Someone recently asked me where i got these, so I looked this up to give her the link. It seems that I purchased this item on May 5, 2010. I still have all 50 spoons, whole and intact, and I use them for my professional catering business so they get MORE than their fair share of abuse. cute for Hors d'Oeuvres service.TIP for removing any adhesives - use a liquid parrafin lamp oil, like that you would use to fill an oil lamp. one drop on the label, smear with a finger to get to the edges, and it will slide right off within the hour. washes away perfectly clean. I don't even use oil lamps or liquid candles, but I buy a bottle of this stuff every year or so, i think I spill more than I use.

These spoons are great for party appetizers and right sized desserts. They are reasonably proced, come well packed snug in a small box and are wrapped very well.I first use these spoons when hosting a wine party at home for a lot of friends. For dessert, I made Creme Brulee in a huge baking dish and once set, I scooped them into 100 of the spoons. I topped them with sugar and broiled them to get that nice crunchy top. I received so many rave reviews, you would have thought I was a miracle worker.I was impressed that they withstood the torture of the broiler and my wine loving friends. They also cleaned up pretty easily considering they had molten lava sugar on them. I soaked them in some bleachy water while I did the rest of my clean-up. They all came perfectly clean.I also now use them for my take-out Won Ton Soup or Pho. The metal spoon just doesn't feel right when you have these so readily available.I continue to search for new creative recipes and uses for these spoons. They are a great party hit. Hmmm... maybe Jello Shots!

The spoons are exactly what I wanted. They are perfect quality. The only issue was i bought them as a gift, as i was making a gift basket with soup mixes, etc, and they do not come in any packaging/box. They arrive wrapped in bubble wrap. Otherwise, they are great if you do not have a need for them to look presentable on arrival. They're very high quality as well.

I just received my spoons and I am very pleased with the purchase. Thanks also to amazon for the fast shipment. When I ordered the spoons, I was kind of skeptical because I didn't know if they were going to be big for the purpose I need them for, but they are little and fits perfectly into my oxo containers. I wanted a white soup spoon small enough to be used as a spice refiller, but big enough to get the job done. If you do drop the spoon on tile, I'm very convinced that the spoon will break, so be careful. The packaging was done very well and none of mine were broken and they sent 2 extra just incase.

I bought these spoons, as many others here, to have something "fancy" to individually serve deviled eggs or other bite-sized snacks. Based on reviews, I expected one or two to be broken in transport; didn't happen. After checking several of them I am very pleased with the product; this is a mass production, spendable, restaurant item, but quality in general is quite acceptable. Small imperfections are present; I didn't find one to trash, yet, though.I noticed that many reviewers are complaining about little holes on these (and other similar) spoons - this is due to manufacturing process. China is glazed and the spot that item is resting on during glazing process stays rough (check bottom of china plate, even the finest ones). For spoon, this is the only solution to have surface, one might touch, fully glazed.Worth noticing is follow up by the seller; based on these reviews, they realized that spoons are frequently broken in transport and offered free instant replacement for broken pieces free of charge. Seller (greatdeal415) is worth remembering for customer service.

These are exactly what I thought they would be. One spoon was broken, the other 49 were fine. I can live with that. I'm using them for the soup I'm serving at our next gathering. I washed the spoons by hand when they arrived (put them into a pan of soapy water, rinsed, dried on kitchen towels) so I can't tell you how they'll hold up in the dishwasher. I'd probably wash them by hand as the "nestling" design makes me think they may not come clean in the machine, but I am very, very happy with these!UPDATE: It came time to use these and I never bothered to check these carefully. There is a sticker on the spoon that says "Made in China" which comes off very easily, but the PLU/SKU sticker is a nightmare to remove. Today is the fourth day of these soaking in hot, sudsy water. I've managed to get 20 of them sticker/glue free but it has been a real chore. I've tried oil, Windex, alcohol, and peanut butter and the glue is not budging. Our event was on Sunday so couldn't use these. Plan ahead and start removing those stickers the minute the delivery guy leaves them at your doorstep!Also, for those worried about the size of the spoons, they are exactly what you find at Pier 1 for $2 each. They're the perfect size for soup/desserts, but they are rather wide so won't fit well inside a narrow dish.UPDATE: Spoons did fine in the dishwasher. We use them anytime we eat soup!

I ordered these last minute after seeing them in a well known and very expensive kitchen store, I wanted them for a dinner party but was not willing to pay the hefty price tag, on a whim I looked on amazon and found there. I ordered them and had them overnighted, they arrived justin time for the party, they are the absolute same as the ones I had passed up in the store, I was blown away. My guest were really impressed, the are solid have a good weight and no imperfections, they are safe for the oven as well as the dish washer! A great deal and would purchase again if I ever need more then the 50 I purchased.

Spoons arrived unbroken and on time. I have to say, I almost bought disposable spoons and I'm so glad I spent just a few extra dollars and bought 100 porcelain spoons. They were so much classier to serve my phyllo wrapped shrimp with lemongrass dipping sauce on for my client's party.
