so happy with this product!!!
this was exactly what my dog needed to help her get around, she is 16 years old and really getting her share of arthritis. She was really slowing down and struggling to walk , broke my heart to see this happening to her. this universal carpal and elbow wrap is an excellent! she loves walking around the yard and seems so much more herself, this gave her a better quality of life !

Cold or Heat Therapy for Small Dog Front Leg(Carpal or Elbow)- Expensive
I thought this would be a lot more complicated to attach to my dog but I watched the video and it really was not that bad. The biggest beef I have with this besides the price is that they tell you to attach it to my dogs collar. To me if she is running around or even crated and the strap gets stuck on something it could become a choking hazard. Hopefully the velcro would detach but it seemed very secure.I used it with a break away collar like you would use on a cat. My dog is small enough that I can find them in her size. It might work with a harness which would be another safer option. The piece where you put the cold/ heat pack has two buckles. You use one if you are putting it on the left leg and the other if you are using it on the right leg. On a small dog these buckles are pretty big and even though they have a velcro to hold them folded over they still are a bit clunky and could rub on your dog somewhere. To me it would be better if they included a loop to attach through rather than two buckles. Maybe in the bigger sizes this would not be an issue but for a small dog I do not like that hard plastic sitting there. They could have easily used a loop and one buckle that attaches to a front or rear loop instead eliminating the need for an extra buckle. It did not take me long to put on my dog (a 18 pound westie) and she tolerated it pretty well. It does keep the cold/heat pack relatively in place but I am not sure it's worth nearly $50 for some well made straps, buckles and pads.Overall this is well made, just not crazy about attaching to dog collar, and it's very expensive. Thanks for reading my reviewBecky Brooks

Helps Treat Sprains
This arrived too late for us to use it properly but with three pugs I’m sure we will need to use it again. One of our pugs sprained her elbow joint a while ago and we really could have done with this about a week before it arrived.I tried this on just to see how it would work. It’s a little fiddly and our pugs don’t wear collars or anything 90% of the time. We put harnesses on them when we take them outside so they weren’t thrilled with the wrap but tolerated it.This therapy wrap is designed to work with a regular collar. We don’t use collars on our pugs since one of our pugs who has passed had a trachea problem we have used carefully selected harnesses with a very low cut that presses only against their chest. It was not hard to adapt this sling wrap thing to hook onto a harness. And once on my pug still had decent mobility. I would recommend a soft cone because the moment she lay down she would try and chew on the gel pad insert.Like I said at the start, I haven’t gotten to try it properly yet since Alice had already recovered. But judging by what I saw, it looks like it would do a pretty good job. We didn’t even try a cold compress last time. Without anything to hold it on she would pull her paw away and won’t stay still enough to let you hold it in place. We just made to with the pain killers and no walks for the couple of weeks it took to heal. I think this will allow us to treat any future sprains more competently.

If you have a small dog
And that dog gets hurt jumping on or off beds, playing with children or other dogs, then you will see the need for this item. A lot of times, you will see them not wanting to walk on their leg as they normally would. If after seeing a vet and the leg isn't broken, you can use this to help with the pain.

Hard fit for a dachshund
Caldera Pet Therapy Wraps - Carpal & ElbowThis works for both cold and heat therapy. It did work really well on my dachshund's hip area and since she only weighs ten pounds, I was able to cover her hip joint down to the knee with this pack. My biggest issue is that the straps are too long for her to keep it attached on the other leg. I love that the pack is the right size for a smaller dog.
