Thin, cool cotton fabric and nice drape on this skirt whether worn alone or layered, and roomy enough for 2X/3X size apple-shaped gals.My one gripe is that the seamstresses cut corners on the waistband guide and, as a result, the drawstring bunches/rolls and is uncomfortable. I hand-stitched a "casing" of sorts for the drawstring, creating seamlines 1/4" from top/bottom of the waist. This contains/guides the drawstring, which now operates perfectly....machine-stitching those guideline seams would have taken less than two minutes.Light colored fabric will show more of YOU than intended (especially in sunlight), so plan undergarments/layers accordingly.

Love the material and it is well made. Worth the money. I highly recommend it if you need to adapt it for a folkloric dance skirt just add your own finishing or wear as is. It’s beautiful!!
