Pandas, Koalas, Gobis, and Polar Bears Galore!
This game is awesome. Just played it with my husband and son (who collects teddy bears) and we really enjoyed it. It's a tile laying game that requires some strategy like you would if playing Tetris. The tiles are different shapes so you have to plan your tile placement. The goal is to build a zoo to house pandas, polar bears, gobi bears, and koala bears on four large square tiles. You earn points for laying bear houses and bear enclosures as well as for completing each large square tile. The point values decrease as you pick up pieces so the sooner you pick up pieces the more points you'll have in the end if you planned tile placement to maximize points. There's an additional mini expansion you could say within this game that allows for more points to be scored if you accomplish certain things such as having three of one bear type, green park space and river configuration, having one of each type of bear and several other possibilities. It makes the game more competitive and challenging and we went straight ahead to playing with the Achievements. The game is also adorable. The art work is so cute and the bear zoo idea is perfect. I can't wait to play again. But it, you won't regret it.

Simple yet fun polyomino game for all ages!
I came upon this game courtesy of BoardGameCo on youtube, after his glowing remarks I decided to get it to play with my family and it does not disappoint! You start off with a single lonely park entrance full of square grids to build your bear park on and a single landscape piece depending on number of players, depending on your placement you get one or more new pieces of varying size, you can even get a whole new board to expand your park on, and on and on it goes until a player fills up all their four (five with expansion) boards and after this everybody gets one more turn and scoring begins. It's simple enough that kids can have fun placing pieces and building a beautiful park, yet deep enough that you have to crunch through placement options so you can maximize points and go for the optional, yet deliciously attractive achievements worth extra points at the end of the game.Since all boards are different and there are plenty of achievements, it will be a long time before the game gets really repetitive, at which point you can just get the expansion and keep playing! One thing to note, this game does not have a lot of player interaction, other than "Hey! You took that piece, I wanted that piece!", there's really no way to mess with each other since you keep your eyes on your own board for the better part of the game, figuring out how to cover the most ground in the most effective way.Overall, this is a solid addition to anybody's game library, and I'm confident most people would enjoy playing it during your next game night! For alternatives on the same theme and adjacent-gameplay you can look for New York Zoo, which has both similar and different game play elements but is not really simple enough for smaller children.

You should totally buy this game!
We first found and played this game at a board game cafe. After playing it there, we knew we had to have a copy of our own! The game came brand new in box, no defective pieces, and beautiful designs. This game is easy to learn and fun to play, highly recommend!

Absolutely love this game
Absolutely love this game! I am always looking for more board games to add to my collection, and I always look for 3 things. Does the theme catch the interest of friends/family? Can I teach the rules in under 15 min? Can it be played in an hour or less? This game checks off all three. Also it's incredibly fun. There is a certain satisfaction in seeing your park fill up with bears and attractions.

Easy to pick up, but endless strategy to learn
We were introduced to this game while on vacation with friends. We ordered it soon after we returned home. It was a hit to all the family member we introduced it to over the holidays. The basic concept is pretty easy for players of all ages to pick up. But the strategy learning curve and the fact that every game will always be entirely different keeps it interesting for even seasoned players. I would highly recommend this Barenpark to all game lovers!

One of my favorites.
Of the Tetris style games, this is my favorite. It is moderately easy to learn and depending on your opponents decently challenging. All around great game. Works best with 3 or 4 players. The Bad News Bears sequel adds more game options that can be played in part or all together; it does not remove anything from play.

A wonderful tile-laying game!
This is a great game for all ages! My 7 and 9 year olds love this game and I love it too! If you're a fan of tetris and placing tiles to fill a grid, but aren't a fan of tons of rules check out this game. It is very simple to learn but very difficult if you play it right!

Solid game, end is a little anticlimactic
Good game, plays as young as 5 years old. Like to play it, though the setup time and tear down time is a little long compared to play time. Biggest issue is that the winner is known at least three turns before its over. Also, first player is really advantaged, they just naturally get ~5 more points by taking tiles and bear statues before other players. But kids like to build park, and oldsters like to build puzzles, so it would recommend it to any family.
