I don't know what it is, but my body really does not like this particular brand. I suspect it is the cellulose fibre because everything else is the same as other brands I have used.Other than that, it is indeed high strength iodine and with so many in one tub it will certainly last 6 months with only one needed per day.

These Iodine tablets are smallish capsules, making them very easy to swallow. They seem tasteless and odourless to me, but I don't have the best sense of smell.You take 1 tablet a day with food, so the packet will last for 6 months. I think that at £17.41 (at the time of writing) that represents good value.We all like to take a course of Iodine tablets whenever we hear about any kind of nuclear disaster as it is supposed to help minimise the effects, and it is what they give to people close by in really high doses.I find that it can help me to shed a few pounds sometimes, but the results aren't consistent for me as I suffer from Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), and it is very difficult for me to lose weight. When my thyroid was last tested, it was on the high side of normal, so I don't think that supplementing with iodine will do me any harm as what's normal for one person isn't necessarily normal for another, and I think I would benefit from it being a bit lower. I can't find any contraindications for the liver, so I'm happy to use it.
