Junk
Bought for son’s 10th birthday. Very flimsy plastic shell on the drone. I can’t get either of the supplied batteries to go in the battery slot. I managed once after a lot of fiddling, but it also resulted in the power button getting pushed in and stuck on. Took battery out again and now can’t get either back in. If I apply any more force I’m going to break it. I’m sending it back. Do not buy.

If you can handle this you can handle the expensive ones
The media could not be loaded. I was not expecting much before getting my hands on this drone due to the price. I must say I was surprised by the number of features this drone can do, although not all of them work as smoothly like the proper expensive drones but this will make a good practice drone to see if you really want an expensive one, and good for kids to try out and not worrying about crashing.I have never flown a drone before, not sure if it is suppose to be that hard. I found this drone hard to keep itself steady even after calibration on horizontal ground and trimming the direction. It just get blown away by the slightest wind I have in the garden. The unsteady motion and the low quality camera also means the video footage is not really fit for any serious purposes. But kids probably won't mind. The connection of live video streaming to the app is temperamental, sometimes it works sometimes you need to redo the whole steps in the right order. And it would go very far before the video becomes stutter. The automatic takeoff always go up about 2m high before thinking of stopping, not the 1m high says in the instruction. The automatic landing is a crash most of the time.A quick summary:PROS:+ Very cheap for a video drone, under £60 with two batteries+ Good fly time of 6 mins each battery+ Well designed box, everything folds and tucks back neatly+ Plenty of features, 360 flips, gesture control, waypoint flights etc.CONS:- Video is to shaky to use for any purpose- Very difficult to control even with the slightest wind (even after calibrating and trimming it)- Instruction booklet does not cover all the featuresOverall, I still think this worth four stars for the low price and functions. This will make a good practice drone for kids, tell them to master this first before getting a real deal £1k drone,

A nippy and lively mini folding drone.
The media could not be loaded. I have a few 4DRC drones and I'm generally quite pleased with them. This v20 drone is no exception. The storage case / display stand is a bit gimmicky for me, but it does make a nice alternative for storing it, plus you can click the power on to illuminate the glass.Once you've got the drone unfolded, it looks really cool with the lights on it. The arms do feel quite flimsy though. I think it's down to the fact that they don't properly lock into place. One slight knock or perhaps a hard landing and they fold back on themselves. Whilst this is a good thing in some respects, since it should absorb any impact, it also makes it feel that they could fold in on themselves at the wrong time too. These are the loosest I've seen on any drone I've reviewed so far.Flight-wise, this really does excel. You have 2 1000mAh batteries, which should last for a reasonable time. It's very nippy on full speed and does fancy flips, etc. I also like how the trim works. Push the right stick in, trim up with the stick, then push it in again. There are plenty of features / functions on this drone and and camera is reasonably good for a streaming-only one (no memory card slot).Other than the flimsy arms, I do like this and can certainly recommend it. It's better suited to adults though as it's perhaps a little too lively for kids or beginners.

Reasonable drone
The media could not be loaded. I've tried slightly cheaper drones, but this 4DRC drone is certainly better than those, though still has its faults. It is relatively easy to control; and novice that I am, pI was able to get reasonable control of this drone after just a few minutes practice. The batteries seem to last between 5 to 10 minutes, and are easy to change and recharge. The camera is okay, but it doesn't give a smooth frame rate. However, it's fine for novelty or for basic use (see attached film clip). You need the free app to use the camera. It seems reasonably intuitive and offers additional control of the drone compared to the controller. It is optional, and the drone, though not the camera, will work okay without it.The controller is compact, feels adequately strong, and is comfortable to use.Although the drone is relatively easy to control, I found the sequence of button options for starting to be unclear, particularly since the instructions are occasionally very poorly written and difficult to follow (see photo). I often get an odd sequence of lights and drone responses, which don't seem to tally with the instructions, and find the only way to cope with these is to reboot the drone and controller.Overall, although it has a few faults, thus is a pretty reasonable drone, especially for a novice flyer.

Very good quality and value drone
A good starter drone. This has a range of foolproof features that are ideal if you are just starting with drones. Good battery life, an easy to use remote with a land home function and that can be connected to the screen of a smartphone to access the onboard video camera (720P, not true HD). The camera has zoom and you can do all the usual 3D flips, headless mode, etcIt's light and a little plasticky and not the most robust drone, but this is reflected in the price. Overall, recommended.

The instructions aren't great
I'm going to start off by saying that my only experience of drones is a story my boss told once of getting a drone for his teenage daughter for Christmas, deciding her would have a go on it before letting her ruin it, whereupon, he immediately crashed it into a tree. And he's pretty techy, so I didn't hold out a lot of hope for myself here. The price seems pretty excellent for what you get. The drone is easy enough to operate. I'm only a beginner, but I'm getting the hang of it and haven't crashed it yet. The set up was the most difficult bit. There are some very small pieces to corral together and I didn't see any spare parts, so you don't want to try and build this with animals or small children nearby. The instructions seem to have been translated, not all that well, and so it's rather more intuitive to build than I might have liked. That said, it's a nice piece of kit, I've had it a month and haven't wrecked it yet, and I hope to become better at working it.

Parts of the drone does feel fragile
This is my grandkids 1st drone and I'm generally quite pleased with it.The storage case / display stand is nice and simple for me, not flashy and easy to store, plus you can click the power on to illuminate the glass. The drone looks really cool with the lights on it. The arms do feel quite fragile but you do get replacement blades. The bits to protect the blades do seem a little flimsy and breakable, but it has survived a couple of crashes due to my novice skills so far!Flight-wise, this really does go! You have 2 batteries, which should last at least 30min or more. The features / functions on the camera are good and you can have some fun with it.This comes recommened as a novice adult, smaller beginners kids may find it a bit too fast and sensitive, but I do think its a good drone to start withI hope you found this review helpful

Good for the price
4DRC V20 Mini Drone for Kids with 720P HD FPV Camera, Foldable RC Quarcopter for Boys Girls with Altitude Hold, Headless Mode, One Key Start, 3D Flips,Gravity Control,Tap Fly, 2 Modular Batteries*The good*Price as tested £59.99 minus a 10% off voucherIt flies okLooks smart*The not so good*Some parts of assembly are very fiddlyIf you enjoy assembling things like airfix models then this will be fine for you. Otherwise, it's extremely fiddly and required a lot of patience to get it set up. Adding the safety shields to the blades requires using a tiny (included) screwdriver with microscopically small screws (about 2mm in length). The cages feels extremely flimsy (weight saving I imagine) and are very, very fragile. I nearly broke one of the clips during assembly, and as there are no included spares for them it would have been game over. You'll also discover that the manual is next to useless. It's in badly translated English (barely) that makes little to no sense, and the diagrams are so tiny it's extremely hard to see what you're actually trying to do.Once it's all assembled and you've read the manual on how to use it and calibrate it, the drone does work as intended. Though I've found it has a fair bit of drift when it's supposed to be 'stationary' - it just kept heading to the left slowly until it hit a wall, unless I counter-acted it with the controls. The controls are fairly straight forward once you've got the hang of them. And it seems to be surprisingly somewhat durable despite those fragile blade cages. Biggest downside is there's nothing in the manual to explain what the drone does when the battery is depleted. It just started flashing all its lights in an odd sequence and refused to fly. Some kind of indication that that's about to happen would be good. Battery only lasts maybe 5 minutes, but I don't know what battery life mini drones like this are really supposed to have. It's designed to 'fold down' into a carry case made up of the controller and a plastic dome, but to do so you would need to use the tiny screwdriver and dismantle the cages first, as well as then find somewhere to store the tiny, tiny screws! So I think the storage idea is pretty much wasted as once it's built you're just going to want to keep it open. The camera can be adjusted for up/down angle a bit but not too much or you risk damaging the (exposed) ribbon cable. It is acceptable quality for the price but the frame rate is quite low, as to be expected for the price.Overall as a toy, or for someone who wants to try and fly a drone its okay. However it’s not really for the serious hobbyist, as it says on the box, it is ideal for children.4 stars

Brilliant for beginners
Fantastic price for such an intricate device. Great for flying. Can do tricks too. Connects to your phone via the app. Was a bit tricky to get it connected but managed it in the end. Agile flying experience. Would be great for beginners.

This is a cute little drone
This is a cute little drone that works just fine under the right conditions. The drone is sturdy and light so you don't have to worry about crashing too much. The controls are very intuitive and you work them straight from your Phone. I was able to fly this around my entire room through the kitchen, living room bedrooms, living room, etc. and back just by using the camera. Pretty neat for a drone of this cost. Get this thing as an entryway into drones. It sucked me in. And if it doesn't suck you in, the price tag is pretty low, so no big deal. You'll at least be able to give it to someone who will love iso had no idea how to get started. There was a QR code to scan to download the app that controls it. However, this QR code took me to a recruitment agency website, not a download for the drone. There is also a QR code to scan for the manual, this took me to a website for a company called Out Systems. After some googling, I did get both the app and the manual, and it works well.
