D&D Nolzurs Marvelous Unpainted Miniatures: Wave 1: Griffon

I have several of the Nolzur's minis. The character minis are hit or miss as the quality control stinks (I've gotten some really bad ones with faces all messed up) but this griffon and the troll in the same line seems ok. I did have to remove some terrible mold lines, and there was a massive hole in one of the hind legs that I had to fill with greenstuff. I think this will be my last Nolzur purchase as I find the quality of these minis to be severely lacking. The plastic they use is SUPER cheap, too, so Reapers has stolen my heart. The detail with Reapers is so much better, not to mention quality, and pricing is on par with this brand, if not better. Go with Nolzur's if you're just learning or practicing. Otherwise, pass.

I was so excited when I received this. I got it in front of my friend and she couldn’t stop laughing at me. I told her my friend and I were going to get high (weed) and paint them, I I shall paint mine like buckbeak and watch some HP. I cannot wait and will post pics when finished. Be forewarned, I am not the greatest, but idc because it’s fun 💖

Plastic but nice. detail is very good. It says Prime but I put a black coat on it anyway. I haven't painted it yet. Been too busy with work and life for any hobbies as if late

Had a lot of fun painting him. No holes like anyone mentioned. Came pre primed with no lines like others have complained about also.

The details on this figure are amazing. Often unpainted minis are unplayable, I would be more than happy to field this guy as is. Very impressed.For those trying to imagine the actual mini versus the 3d image, just remove all the very dark shadows and it looks spot on.

It's a good d&d figure that doesn't need assembly and looks really great.

Fun to paint, with great detail. The wings are intricate! Takes a black wash well. Nice pose, nice size

Einige Sachen, die man beachten sollte:- schlechter Guss und viele Stellen, die nachträglich gefüllt werden müssen, um das Modell einheitlich aussehen zu lassen- zu dick aufgetragener Primer, der die wenigen vorhanden Details noch schwerer erkennbar macht, bevor irgendeine Farbe aufgetragen wird- der Primer ist ein schlechter Untergrund für Farben (GW/Armypainter in meinem Fall) und benötigt bei Schichten, Wetpainting usw. sehr viele Schichten, um ein zufriedenstellendes Ergebnis zu erhaltenInsgesamt ist es immernoch eine der besseren Miniaturen aus der Wiz-Kids-Reihe, da zumindest die Flügel eine sehr schöne Detailfläche bieten, an denen man sich mit dem Pinsel austoben kann, aber die Qualität selbst lässt einiges zu wünschen übrig.

There's a lot of clean-up needed on this mini. Lots of little plastic edges that need to be cut off all over the mini. The left wing is also seems detached and then glued on to the mini, which wouldn't be a problem, if it didn't leave any gaps. Lastly, the base of the mini itself (not the circle but the part you glue to the circle) is uneven, which makes it wobble if you put in on the table or even if you want to glue it to the round base.All in all, it's okay value for money, but expect 'some' clean-up.

ottima statuina, ottimo il materiale con cui è fatta, le dimensioni mi aspettavo fossero maggiori ma ad ogni modo ora che l'ho dipinta fa il suo bell'effetto durante le sessioni.
