100% recommend! Don’t overthink it, just get it!
My daughter is 8, and struggles with reading (a lot) she does not like reading, and when I can get her to read she is getting jumbled by getting too far ahead of where she actually is. This has helped her slow down and focus on just a couple words at a time. She deals with some dyslexia as well , and we notice she doesn’t leave off sounds at the end of her words as much when we started using this tool. It helped her slow down enough to see the endings like “s” or “Ed” that she’d leave off of a word. At first when I got them I thought “how much will this really help?” But I was pretty desperate to try anything. I am so thankful we found these and I have told everyone on social media about them as well. A MUST. I have ADHD myself and have thought about possibly using one because I’m trying to make myself read more now that my kids have to read 20 minutes a night. It’s really worth the money!

So much fun!!!
These can be used in a wide range of ways and for any subject! Kids with dyslexia, needing overlays, or whose eyes simply tire easily really benefit.Kids are more apt to give the little characters names and voices, which further makes learning fun! Whether they're struggling or not, these are just plain fun.We also use these in piano lessons, labeling the keys and making the characters "play".

Reading tool
This has helped my 1st grader tremendously with his reading. It forces him to slow down so he doesn’t miss words.

It’s a cute product but needs to be remade to fit kids fingers
The quality is okay. It was too big to stay on my 10 year olds finger. A little overpriced for what you get. I bought it for the cuteness factor, but if it doesn’t fit a child’s finger than it can’t be used.

My kids love them!
Help my child and students focus on the words. They’re more fun than the others I’ve used. I teach first grade.

Cute concept, hard to use
I like the play and learn concept, the caterpillars are cute. However, they cover many words at once and it’s hard to see through them, so for a beginning reader it adds an unnecessary/constrictive tool.

Cute little bugs
The media could not be loaded. I got these for my son. He is dyslexic, and I wanted this to help him with his reading. It is looking very promising so far. This finger-focused highlighter allows him to focus on words, especially the more difficult ones. As a result, he is stressing less because he is not "losing" words on a page and can focus on the individual words for longer. The characters are very cute. Unfortunately, because of how sweet they are, my son wants to play with them more than he uses them to help with his reading. The highlighter strips work well without the cute bugs, so you can always try to use them without the characters and see if you get good results that way if you have the same problem.Everything fits in a small storage bag that is supplied with the set.I was hoping it would be worth a try, and I am happy I gave it a go.

Maybe they will work for you…
These are well made and cute. But they didn’t work for my children. They didn't help with reading at all.

Fun way to aid reading
I'm going to come clean here: this was a bit of a gamble, ordering this product. One of my children is convinced he's got problems with reading and I figured I'd call his bluff and get this for him to try. He's rather old for it (he's 11) as the little finger friends are aimed at younger children, but you don't actually have to use them if you don't want to.These coloured highlighter strips have a fingerprint symbol on them so you know where to put the end of your finger to help guide them along the page and the colours offer choice to see what works best for the reader. More often than not, green and yellow are the main colours used but the other two work just as well, depending on what's being read and the colour of the paper it is on.My son has conceded to use them (so long as no one ever finds out - oopsie) and whether it's a sort of placebo effect or I genuinely need to get him assessed, they are working. He reads with more confidence and stumbles less over his words when reading out loud. The little pouch you get with these items is handy too - you can pop them in it and bring them with you everywhere, if need be. My only hang-up is how much it costs considering how small the product is and how few items are involved, but I think if you find a tool that is a great help, it's worth the price in the long run.
