While they do fit and serve it's purpose it's not a snug fit the fall off very easily. Because there isn't another brand to buy I would recommend them only because there isnt anything else

Good protection, if you hold it properly. But if your fingers slip towards the pan, there is no protection below the handle. Would be better if this not just protects the handle, but also extended down to keep your fingers off the body of the skillet. Fits the Lodge #L10SK3 (10" inside the bottom of the skillet) well, is loose on the 8" (8SK) skillet so slips horizontally. Made by Lodge, so you know it isn't cheap materials, isn't going to melt at normal cooking temperatures.

There is nothing worse than a potholder having a thin spot and the heat comes through while taking my cast iron skillet or Dutch oven out of the oven. These work so good I haven’t burned myself since buying them.

Bought this for my 10 inch cast iron skillet. Like others said it does not fit perfectly but it does the trick! My advice is to not leave the handle covers on while cooking on the stove top because they will get hot. Just put them on when you want to move the skillet around.

Very useful if you own any of the larger, heavier Lodge cast iron pans. I don't need to use it with my small frying pan or pancake pan but I have a large frying pan that I can only lift with two hands. As all parts of a cast iron pan get hot I find this easier to use than oven gloves when lifting it. It is completely heatproof and doesn't take up much room in my drawer.
