This is a really good product. I put it up on a large table so that I could look in on the chicks from above. Trying to unzip the little door and reach in all the way to the back would be extremely difficult without the ability to unzip the top. I began first without using the top and I was able to hang the heating lamp close to the floor when I first got them and raise it as it got older. When they were 6 weeks they were flying around and I had to put the zipper top on. That did a good job keeping them inside the brooder. After we were done with it, I was able to take it outside and scrub it out and leave it out in the sun to dry out so it would be nice and clean for the next time. I like this product. It had a lot of benefits like the ease of cleaning it and folding it and putting it away. Nut if I were to buy another one I would probably prefer a rectangular box shape brooder. If you're not interested in using a box shaped brooder which takes up a lot of space while sitting in storage, this is a good product to check out.

Depending on how many chicks you have I found this to be great! I lined with dog pee pads then wood shavings and although they pecked some of the pee pad it was still enough for easy cleaning when the time came. That was one of the things I worried about most. We have 8 chicks and we did move them week 5 but could have gone a little longer. If you have less chicks I think it would last till its time for them to go in the coop. I was skeptical but next batch of chicks (maybe 3 or 4) this will be my go for sure. If I had to say anything bad.... its a BITCH to fold up :)

I love this pen. I bought it for chicks but ended up using it for two small bottle fed goats that were orphaned. It worked well for them up until about 4 weeks (3-4 lbs) when they outgrew it. It was wonderful to be able to leave them in here for a short while when I ran errands. I put a small box with a heating pad in it and the babies were fine going in there as if crate trained. Overnight, I covered it with a sheet.If this can hold up to small goats, it will hold up to chicks easily.

Moved them into my larger brooder at about 4 weeks. But it’s a good backup brooder for a few young ducklings, about as waterproof as you can get without breaking the bank on Amazon

We bought this to house our pullets for a short period of time, we had a total of 10 hens and it worked great had to house the birds in our basement so this worked absolutely beautifully! I would say don’t house more than 8-10 birds they will grow fast and you need those pin feathers to grow in before putting them outside in your coop!It also cleans up really well too!We put down wood shavings only on the bottom of this.Also folds for easy storage! I give this 10 Stars ⭐️ highly recommend and definitely would buy again should we need one!

This is great for my little Chicks. A lot better than a cardboard box that I was using! It keeps my cats out.

This Brooder is a great concept, but as older folks, it is very hard to bend over into the brooder to pet or catch the chicks. They moved to the other side and the brooder is quite large. After two weeks, my chicks were flying up to the top, but I couldn't use the zip on lid because I still needed to use my heat lamp. Overall, I was unhappy with this brooder, but will keep for when I have a chicken who needs to be isolated. It's a large size and might be appropriate for a garage or shop, but if you're trying to put it into a bathroom or small room, it takes up a lot of room.

The media could not be loaded. Love this!!! Lots of room for the chicks, easy to clean, the zip top is awesome, folds up nicely for easy storage, well worth it. I love that I can unzip the top to have easy access to everything, I highly recommend.
