The amp is great for van halen tones, still trying to get the brian may sound out of it. It's very powerful for a 5 watt solid state head especially through a 1x12 cab. Highly recommended.

Liked the saturated tones when using an overdrive. But very noisy when cranked up sounds like a frying chip pan

I was bought this as a gift. I'd completely forgotten it was on my Wishlist so it was a nice surprise. At the first opportunity I had I took it for a spin and oh my! What a little beast this thing is. There is gain on tap in spades here and a really nice rounded tone to go with it. As others have touched on, it can be pretty noisy when you start to crank the gain but that's to be expected and easily dealt with using a noise gate. I had to put the gate in the effects loop as the noise is coming from the preamp, not a pedal which was a bit of a surprise but there are no wrong answers in guitar tone right? If it works, it works. And it does.I have a Valeton Multi FX unit that can be wired in 4 cable mode which allows me to easily insert a boost before the preamp, modulation / reverb (and in this case a noise gate) in the FX loop and by adding a touch of delay I got a really sweet tone. I'm not using anything special as a speaker here, a small 8" cab.By comparison, I used my multi FX's EV5150 amp model and this little hotone beats it hands down on an A / B comparison. I also added a TS boost up front but I need to play more with that. It obviously made a difference but managing the extra noise became more of a problem and I'm not convinced of the gain (excuse the pun). Probably just need to dial the gain back on the amp a bit and lean on the boost more.I've docked a star because of the noise, which is possibly a bit unfair because, well, you know - high gain amp but also because above, let's say 75% volume it does struggle somewhat and start to break up - or maybe it was my speaker. But trust me, it's more than loud enough for bedroom / back room practice.

A good amp. Once you put it through a 4x12 cab. I would invest in a noisegate aswell because when you turn the treble up, you get alot of hiss. You get all the clarity once the volume is at 12 noon and if you run some multi fx i.e. detune chorus, reverb and echo through the fx loop, you get some serious 90s Van Halen tone.

This tiny amp sounds absolutely killer at speaking volume, something even my little marshall dsl1 struggles with. If you want a modified marshall tone that sounds great to use in your home without drowning out the tv, this is your amp. If you're looking for something to get loud with, look elsewhere. I'm using this with a 12 inch greenback.

A 55€ non potevo lasciarlo li. Dopo aver sentito varie recensioni positive ho acquistato questa testatina-ina-ina. Sta nel palmo di una mano ma suona veramente tanto. L'ho collegata ad una 4x12 Marshall e col volume a 10, in casa, è impossibile da suonare. E' veramente potente. Il controllo EQ funziona molto bene è lineare e reattivo. Il suono non è mai pulito (nemmeno abbassando il gain) ma non credo che qualcuno compri una testata che ricorda la 5150 per farci jazz....Ottimo prodotto (ha anche l'alimentatore in dotazione).

Me ha parecido excelente. Curiosamente, su sonido mejora muchísimo en cajas grandes. Lo he probado en una 4x12 de mesa y suena increiblemente bien. Recomendado!

Der Amp ist gefühlt nochmals mind. 2,5 mal kleiner, als man denkt, nach dem Ansehen von div. YT-Videos.Die Verarbeitung ist wirklich ok; das reicht vom Adapter über die allgemeine Optik des Amps bis hin zu den satt laufenden Reglern.Ja, und dann der Sound...Zunächst habe ich sehr erfreut festgestellt, dass kein hörbares Brummen auftritt. Auch das Rauschen in höheren Gain-Settings ist nach meiner Erfahrung als leiser Bedroom-Player deutlich geringer als z.B. beim Peavey 6505 Mini oder PRS MT 15. Es lassen sich aber hier auch nicht die Gain-Orgien einstellen, wie bei o.g. Geraten. Aber es reicht für glühenden Marshall-was will man mehr? Bin sau-zufrieden!Die Tonregler bewegen richtig was, hier ist nach sehr kurzer Zeit ein guter Sound eingestellt.Sowohl Dynamik als auch röhrenähnliche Obertöne lassen diesen Amp in Kürze das Herz des röhren-verwöhnten Musikanten erobern!Der Einschleifweg klingt super, KH hab ich nit probiert, aber die Lautstärke lässt sich so fein einstellen, dass es, kaum noch zu hören, dennoch klasse klingt.Zurücknehmen am Vol-Regler der Gitarre bei hohem Gain funktioniert ebenfalls super...nix bröckelt ab, man kann dann auch mal den Bluesman geben, ohne dass es arm klingt. So soll es sein!So, ich komme zum Ende, will weiter rocken. SUPER-AMP!NACHTRAG:Der direkte Vergleich gestern mit meinem 5W-SHAMAN-510TC-Röhren-Amp nach 3 Wochen fidelen Rockens haute den HOTONE dann leider doch aus dem Rennen; ich kann mich einfach nicht an Trans- Verstärker gewöhnen.Der klangliche Vergleich ist wie Kerzenflamme zu Neonlicht. Und die warme Kerzenflamme inspiriert mich sehr stark und ich will sie einfach nicht missen, auch nicht beim Üben.DENNOCH:Neben PEAVEY-TransTube der bisher beste Transistor-Sound, den ich gehört habe!

Je l’ai acheté pour avoir un gros son métal style 5150 pour un petit volume sonore (5w) et pour ça cette nano tête d’ampli fait très bien le travail avec un prix beaucoup moins cher que des pédales de distorsion métal classique ou une tête d’amplifications typé métal. Ça c’est le gros point positif on en a pour son argent. Après ce qui ne plaira pas forcément à tout le monde c’est le son clean qui est inexistant, même avec le gain à zéro, on a un son crunch à bas volume, d’ailleurs cela m’a beaucoup surpris lors de ma première utilisation . J’ai eu l’impression d’avoir des micros emg actif pour le métal sur ma guitare en son clean alors que je suis équipé de micros doubles bobinages passif pour le test. Le fait d’avoir un send&return pour la bloucle d’effet est très bien. Cette ampli a un petit défaut, il y a un gros ploc à l’allumage que l’on entend dans les Hp. Pour son utilisation je préfère le brancher sur la boucle d’effet d’un petit ampli à lampe pour profiter du gros son de sa distorsion métal, car j’ai besoin par moment de jouer en son clair. C’est dommage qu’il n’y est pas 2 canaux au minimum sur cet ampli pour switche d’un clean à un son saturé.
