Good fit and function for this model whirlpool. easy 10min install and worked well. Only caveat was the shaft is slightly shorter than OEM part and had to place a tiny pebble inside of knob core to act as a spacer. This did the trick and starts the dryer without issue.

We have a 25+ year old Whirlpool dryer. It stopped starting up. The door switch was still working fine. I ordered this start switch and we received it the next day (awesomely fast shipping!!). It was easy to install and the dryer is working great.

This switch is fairly easy to change, but there are no instructions (YouTube helped). The knob return spring doesn't push out quite far enough to disengage without a slight pull to deactivate. I can live with it, but it should self resetting.

Does what it’s supposed to do

It fixed one of the issues I had, only complaint is the switch is a little short, so you to push a little harder or pull the button out a wee bit before pushing it, which is a common issue for this off brand switch, since it isn't the name brand. Other then that it is a good switch.
