Lovely bag and really good looking. The only downsides for me are:1. There are not internal dividing compartments. There are some small pockets and pen holders, but no proper divider in the middle to place paperwork on one side and laptop on the other, for example.2. Considering the overall hight quality, it is a bit surprising the manufacturer didn't opt for a shoulder strap made of think, two layer leather. The current one, with textile underneath feels and looks somewhat flimsy, and it lets down the overall design quality.3. Beware that this bag is not really suitable for a laptop. I do use it with a laptop - but you have to be really careful, as there is absolutely no internal padding. Even the bottom is just one relatively thin layer of leather - no hardboard of any sort. Even putting the bag on a hard floor in a bit of a hurry, for example, can damage the laptop inside.In all fairness, it is not supposed to be a laptop bag, so one can't really blame Visconti for the above. I wish it was though, as it is a lovely size and it looks brilliant.

Was looking for a smaller bag to replace a 3 year old man-made laptop bag and this one appealed - it's well made, looks good and it 'does as it sais on the tin'! Ok, so it's not big enough to take a full size laptop but it takes my 10" netbook, charger, specs case, umbrella, phone, pens, other bits & pieces + around 20 A4 folders - oh, and the occasional banana - all with ease. It looks great and so far, even in this soggy summer we are experiencing, I have not experienced any dye coming off on my clothes as previous reviewers have commented on. Would definately recommend and I did, to my boss; thank goodness he got one a different colour!

I already had the larger XL messenger bag which I found to be just too big and heavy so I decided to downsizeLovely leather & build quality as per my previous Visconti bag. I bought this bag nearly a year ago and unlike every other satchel bag I have purchased for work, this one is still going strong. I use it to carry papers and all the other rubbish I tend to have with me, including purse, book, make up, etc. There is no sign that the strap is going, or any other wear that would make it unusual. When first received it was immaculate leather, and in the past year has become a bit more beaten up looking, which I must admit I prefer. However, I'm sure that with proper care it could be kept looking pristine. The buckle is sufficiently safe for me not to worry about valuables, and there are useful pockets so I can keep travelcards handy, as well as pens, keys etc. I really would recommend this bag as excellent value for money, and it looks pretty good too.

I very rarely write comments on products but this bag definitely warrants it! Clearly this bag has been thought about a great deal - from getting the materials just right, the logical placing of pockets and zips - the attention to detail and good design is obvious.Inside and out, the feel of the bag is one of dependency and is simply incredibly satisfying to use every time, the heavy clunk of the magnetic catch on the buckle in particular. It feels supple, smells sumptuous, stands up to all weathers (I've been using since November 2012 and it's seen gales, been lashed with rain and trekked through blizzards!), and the leather is beginning to get a lovely worn-in look. I'll be using this bag for many years to come!PS. I know there have been complaints about the leather rubbing off on light clothes, but the bag comes with a label stating this fact - it's just a part of the manufacturing process. It rubbed off once to a pale shirt, but after three months of wearing it over a dark coat, that part of the bag is worn smooth and the dye no longer rubs off.

Bought as a gift for my Son who wanted a bag for the office but not a briefcase. It arrived well packaged and promptly. It comes in a protective cover. I expected a powerful odour from the leather but honestly it was the same pleasant leather scent you get from a pair of new decent shoes. A nice colour, well stitched with strong fastening and strap. Should weather well. My son loves it.

I've been looking for a 'man bag' for quite a long time. Basically it needed to be big enough to carry my camera and assorted 'stuff' also needed to be leather not 'plastic leather'. This bag fits the bill on both counts. Comfy to carry and use, seems to be a bit more secure with having the ring and flap closer.I can recommend this to anyone looking for a decent quality and size bag.

Really like this bag which I bought for my 14" laptop after reading a review saying it will fit. Unfortunately whilst the laptop will squeeze in, it really is a squeeze which would result in deforming the shape of the bag over time. Real shame as I had to return, but the supplier provided excellent service and refunded me promptly.
