It works!
Like some other reviewers note, the light could use just a bit more range in its aim, but I mounted on my garage ceiling in a beam that 45 degrees to the floor and it worked fine.Installation was just a bit more tedious than I expected. But the motion detector and the light works great. My garage is not very deep, but I haven’t bumped the wall since installing this. I would buy another.

Works as expected with some tweaks
I use this unit to judge side to side position rather than fore and aft as I have a wheel stop for that. I mounted it on the wall ahead of my SUV for centering the vehicle. I directed the laser to the middle of my dash for the alignment. The power cord is only 36" which is kind of short. I also had to use a countersink on my drill for the three screw holes as the screws supplied would not sit flush on the mounting bracket making the main unit impossible to slide on. The laser could be more sensitive as it does not always see the car movement in time. Once on it will turn off after about 15 secs. of no movement. If it holds up durability wise then this unit will be worth the cost however I see it is cheaper buying directly from the manufacturer (Oxford).

Seems to work great
I just installed it yesterday. Easy and basic. Mounted to ceiling, Plugged into outlet, along with door opener. Adjusted the light to a convenient spot to see. Works great. One suggesting, the light pod does not rotate so make sure to mount the unit so you can adjust the light for forward and rear parking of car. It must rotate parallel with car, not across it, to adjust the light spot to your preferred visible place.

I bought 2
I bought 2 and I'm glad I did because after installing them it's clear that the double models out there would not have worked for me. The motion sensor is very accurate and the light is bright. They are a little tricky to install but a tip I can give is to find the center of your garage bay and mark it on the floor somewhat close to where you want it to shine on the car. Then mark that same distance about 10 feet in front of that and mark the floor. Put the device on the ceiling above where it will be shining down, but only use the center front screw hole. Now pivot the device on that one screw while moving the laser back and forth while trying to get the laser to draw a line from the 2 marks on the floor. By doing this, you'll be able to adjust the laser within those 10 feet, and it will always be shining on the center of the garage. Now mark the ceiling at the edge of the device with a pencil, take it down and use the other 2 screws. You'd be surprised how 2 degrees will make the laser go off-center by a few inches just a few feet forward or back from your original spot. Hope that makes sense. The other reviews about the screws being too big is right. I used trim head screws (like drywall screws but smaller head) and the head perfectly recesses into the mounting plate. If you have living space above your garage, you probably have 2 layers of sheetrock for fire protection. No need to use the wall anchors if so. The device is very light, and just screwing into the inch and a half of sheetrock is sufficient.

Very Cool and works Great!
I chose to use this with the power supply since I already had the outlet for my garage door opener. I actually located the unit at the full distance of the power supply cord in the center line of my garage door opener. I mounted it with the supplied screws without any problems into the sheetrock. I then pulled my car into the garage and located it where I wanted to park. Using a yardstick, i lightly tapped the laser until it shined on a piece of trim on my dash. That was it... it hasn't moved or needed any further adjusting. It works perfectly! I am very happy with this purchase and definitely would buy another if the need arises. So far, I have used this for about three weeks.

It is work now with problem installation
I just installed the day I got it.I did not read those bad reviews and there are true.1) ... Laser adjust forward only 45 degree that make it hard for mounting2) ... Yes, only 3 feet power cord I have to use 9 feet extension cord.Power cord should be 10' - 15' which is cost less than $1 extra.3) ... I have to dismounted and remounted and it is very difficult to doSo, I have to redesign the mounting by using things around you.I cut a hard paper from an old box and insert between celling and this Sensor. Now you can pull a TAP and dismount easily....... Just like in the pictures .......Yes, my old one is better but I could not find it.This one is cheap and I already paid for it , so I've put it to workI don't know how long will last ... :-).....

Has installation limitations
I installed two of these a few days ago and they are working perfectly. However, if you're not fairly handy, installation will be difficult. The cords are short so one of them needed to be extended. I cut and soldered an extended cord rather than having an extension cord on the ceiling. Basically, the easiest way I could figure on how to install was to park the cars exactly where I wanted them. Then, plug in the laser and on a step ladder, mark exactly where to install it. Trace the laser with a pencil and then remove the base and mount it to the ceiling. If you note a lot of other reviews, the most common is the screws are too big for the mounting base. I took a 1/4" drill bit and channeled the hole just big enough for the screw to countersink into the base.I cannot see either laser when pulling into the garage until it is about on the dashboard. It works perfectly though and lets you know exactly where you are, especially on how far to pull into the garage.

Easy to install and accurate
It took about 30 minutes to install and set up a spot in the car. The motion detection is very good and the laser is spot on. I had no problem fitting it with the wire supplies.
