Fits the bill
Perfect for my needs. Great price and fabric makes it easier to grip. It's light coloured so won't stay clean but that's not a problem.

Fintie is regressing
Fintie, what are you doing? I had this beautiful cover for my Samsung galaxy S6 and it is absolutely amazing. So I thought I'd have a Fintie cover for my S8+ as well. The disappointment is great. The S6 cover has a lovely flap covering the S-pen so that it can live in its charging space without getting lost. And now you don't! Fintie has regressed to the previous system of having a space for the S-pen where it's safe, but it won't charge. What a flipping shame! I'll be hanging onto it until the promised Samsung cover arrives and I'll see how that deals with protecting the S-pen. Of course it has everything to do with the ridiculous way Samsung is dealing with that pen, which should be hiding inside the tablet, not very vulnerably magnetically stuck to the back, because that is asking for trouble. However, Fintie had found a brilliant way of dealing with that, and now they've stepped away from it again. Pity...Apart from that this is a really great cover. Very sturdy and easy to handle. The tablet is much larger, so you'll have to get used to that, but apart from that, this is a very good cover and with the proviso of the pen problem I'd definitely recommend this cover. Besides which, the colours are beautiful!

Ergonomically Poor
The interior of the case has three hard glossy TPU-leather-looking plastic strips to keep the tablet propped up at varying viewing angles based on preference.Problem is that the edge of the case that contacts these strips is also glossy hard plastic so there is basically no friction between the two and the slightest movement will see the tablet and case fall flat. It's seriously annoying and from a manufacturing standpoint it's not really acceptable when a cheap rubber strip of the same dimensions would offer a hundred times more grip.I have torn out the stitched-on strips and glued on my own rubber tabs in their place as a quick fix and predictably this has been a huge improvement.Other than this the rest of the case is fine.

Good quality but doesn't support portrait mode, expensive
Good quality, well made case. The pattern is lovely and the colours are very attractive without being garish, quite elegant. The case supports the tablet very well in a number of landscape positions, it feels sturdy and secure & the tablet does not collapse under its own weight so the supports within the case are definitely well placed and of a good design. There is a dedicated space for the stylus. This allows for safe keeping & storage, the stylus is easily accessed from this space as well as easy to put back in. However, I am unsure as to whether my Galaxy's s pen actually charges up in this position. There are a number of down sides to this case. The pattern is very easily damaged. Just a very small splash of water has made the pattern fade and left a watermark. This makes me believe I will not be able to clean the case with a cloth mosiened with water which is rather impractical- the case is bound to get some debris on it at some point! There is a black elastic strip on the tablet for extra security to keep it closed (although the magnetic closure is very efficient), on a practical level the elastic strip is a valuable feature but unfortunately it looks ugly as it contrasts horribly with the patterns & colours of the case itself. At this price I would have thought the case would be colour safe from just water and that a matching/complimentary colour of elastic strip would have been attached. Additionally and very importantly the tablet cannot be supported in a portrait position - this is very frustrating and limiting. Overall, these issues make this case very overpriced and I feel very disappointed. Could have spent half the price and been just as satisfied.

Good padding
Really pleased with this. It protects the screen really well. Hard to get the pen out of the side. Would like the choice of colours to match the latest tablet colours. Would buy another one.

Too tight/stiff + pattern bleeds with just a single drop of liquid
Upon first glance I was really pleased with the case - it looked sturdy and the design obviously appealed to me - hence why I purchased it. I liked the idea of the elastic band (rather than just a magnet) holding the front cover closed, too, which a lot of these cases don't do. However, when the case arrived it was clear that it was measured to the exact dimensions of the tablet with not even a mm to spare - it creaked and gave a LOT of resistance when trying to get the tablet in, and I would say if you were rough with this, or rushing to put it in the case, you could easily snap your screen. I managed to gently press it in until it was kind of in the case, but the pressure it appeared to be putting on my new tablet felt too strong, and I was noticing areas of the screen were not looking completely flat, as if being bent in the middle from the pressure of the tablet. I took my tablet out later that same night when my stylus was having issues working in certain areas, convinced I had already damaged my brand new device with the item I bought to protect it from damage. (I checked about 10 times that I had not bought the wrong size for my tablet, and it is advertised as being a match for this case) I am convinced that if you dropped the tablet in a case that tight, that it might cause rather than prevent screen cracking. When wrestling it out of the case, I leaned the case on my dinner table and on top of a tiny drop of water I hadn't noticed. The colours in the area that got wet immediately began to bleed and so the whole thing is going to look really tacky and tatty after no time at all! I ordered a new case immediately - which fit perfectly, by the way, and did not feel like it would break it. I have no plans of ever using this case again. Avoid. You can get something that fits better for less than this.
