Tiny hood, not US pattern, but otherwise a handy item
I keep this poncho handy for range days and hiking trips. Otherwise, I wear a rain jacket when doing “normal” things in public.The downside of this is that, if you want to use it with a US issue liner, it's too narrow (US spec is 82"x62", whereas this is 82"x55").I grabbed the “Cp Woodland” (Multicam Tropic) variant, which is faithful to the Cordura coloration. Even better, since this fabric doesn’t hold water, it keeps its color. Your clothing and web gear will darken when wet, but not this.The only complaint that I have is that both the head opening and the hood itself are rather small. I have a tall ~24.5” head, and I could sneak a ballcap in there but nothing more. I’d really like to use this with over-ear hearing protection, or even throw it over a boonie for more ventilation, if that were possible. The cinch works well, so I am not sure why the hood wasn’t made oversize. The neck opening could likewise be sinched down for better fitment if it were made a 2-3 inches larger in diameter.For warm wet climates (Florida for me), a poncho is better than any proper rain jacket because it breathes while being totally waterproof. The rain will cool you off through conduction with the poncho. It can keep your gear and weapon dry, and if you really need it out of the way, it can be out of the way with a toss, just like in your favorite westerns.

Better than expected!
For the price, I didn't expect much. But this has surpassed my best case scenario so far. Really sturdy, good snaps, stitching looks great.

Works well!
Was nervous ordering this for my son due to reviews He needed a back up so we got this. He's had no issues with it thus far. He said take your helmet off first then put this on and it's good. His new carbon fiber helmet is smaller and lighter and it seems to fit with this poncho. It's a good back up.

It’s not as thick as some of the other issued ponchos you get so it packs away smaller and works just as effective
