JVNComplete Hydration Hair Set

This was a perfect box to try out JVN products. I’ve tried many typical store bought products, but they never really did it for me. My hair had been dry (and between you and me a little flaky) for a bit. The mask brought my hair back to life! I couldn’t believe!! From there, the shampoo is nice and I don’t have to use a lot, just every 2-3 days or so depending on how oily/dirty my hair is. Then the conditioner really did make noticeable difference in my hair after using it just a couple times. Now, I’m a pomade fan… but the air-dry cream is nice if you want to go with a lighter product in your hair that lets you feel a bit more natural, yet still add a little zhuzh to your hairstyle. I wasn’t sure what I thought about it at first, but I find myself using it more and more. Ultimately, I’m sold on these products! I’ll definitely be ordering more of the full size versions and trying out JVN’s other products!

My hair was visibly tamed from the first time using the shampoo, conditioner, and air dry cream. For those not ready to dive in and try the full bottle, would highly recommend this!

Wanted to compare the Nuture line to the Embody line for when my hair needs a little extra love (hydration). However, my Travel Set had two shampoos vs one shampoo and one conditioner. The Nuture shampoo has a pearlescent and slightly creamy texture to it. The scent is a unisex borderline masculine fragrance that is a bit on the strong side, whereas the Embody shampoo is clear and has a light scent. I ended up pairing the Nuture shampoo with the Embody conditioner. My hair turned out nice and the fragrance wasn’t overpowering with the two different lines combined. I would still like to see how the Nuture shampoo and conditioner do together but am concerned about the scent being too strong for me if used together.

I must admit, I'm not big on the sandalwood smell, maybe that can be worked into a 2nd line of fragrance? The shampoo lathered up 3x times more than I expected it would for a small amount of product! Which really makes me question those store brand bottles! I went all out and used every bottle. My hair was flat at my crown, dull looking and holding frizzy curls. It brought volume to my crown (even made the bang area curl), gave me a full set of lightweight and bouncy curls, without additional products. My hair is on its way, to days of hydration! I can't wait to see what a month looks like. (Update: Second wash... where did this volume come from?)
