I loved this phone holder while it worked, then the other day I get in my car, go to put my phone in its usual place, and the whole thing snaps right off of its base.Going to reach out to the company because it is supposed to have a 12 month warranty. Will update my review when I hear back from them.Edit: Company got back to me right away and sent a full replacement! Very helpful, and it is working great again. Definitely recommend now considering the customer service should you have a problem like I did.Edit 2: I don't know if I'm using the product wrong or what, but the exact same thing happened again only a few months later. The plastic bit that holds the phone snapped right off when I went to put the phone on the mount. The company was great last time, and I'm still within the year warranty period, but I fear that the same thing will just happen again.And it's a real shame, because I do love this product! Everyone who sees it thinks it came from the factory like that!If I may make a suggestion to CheroCar... just extend out the plastic ball that the clamp goes on and make a MAGNECTIC option! It would put much less strain on that skinny plastic neck, just need to make sure that the ball sticks out far enough so that the magnet sits at a proper viewing angle.Once again, will update if I hear anything.Edit 3: Heard back from them within a few hours. They told me that the part that keeps breaking has been replaced with an aluminum alloy part, and would be shipped directly to me from China in hopefully less than 3 weeks.Will leave it at a 4 for now until the part arrives, but the customer service has been impressive, and if they really did reinforce the part that breaks with aluminum then this is a 5+ star product. Fingers crossed and high hopes that this will work out. Will update in the future.And not for nothing, but I’m dead serious about that magnetic attachment option. Might have it made myself if you guys don't. Probably not ideal for off-roaders but for us casuals it would be absolutely perfect.Food for thought.

Pretty straight forward to install. Depending on your screw driver you may have a hard time getting the bolt on with the window shield up. I highly recommend using lock-tight because mine would vibrate loose all the time and annoy me greatly till I applied some lock-tight

Product should include some lok-tite, as the main screw wiggles loose. Also, my Samsung phone is right up against the dash, limiting the range of movement. A ightly longer neck would resolve this. Other than that, the item works as described and fits the dash perfectly.

UPDATE: It is with a heavy heart that I must return this product. I attempted to see if I could mod it with a Bulletpoint arm and phone holder, but the ballpoint is smaller than the standard 20mm ballpoint.I’m wanting to love this product soooooo much, but I can’t 😩 Imagine going to your favorite ice cream shop only to find they have strawberry swirl but not only strawberry flavor (or vice versa), pardon the analogy 😆 Anywho, this product fits great on my 22 JL, like a glove actually. However, the BIG flaw is the length of the arm, it’s so small that it doesn’t allow much, if any wiggle room when moving the phone around. If you were to have a video call, granted not many think of this when having a phone holder on their cars, the height of the camera ends up way too high. One, as you can see in picture 2 your face ends up right on the corner of the phone camera when in the straight position; if you were to turn the phone to try and get a better view, in picture 3 you can see that the phone tilts up making it impossible to get a better view. One could potentially pull the phone down a bit but that can be done only so much before the edges hit the volume buttons.Also, the way the holder is designed, it makes the phone tilt back a bit when placed in the proper position. I’ve tried pulling the phone towards the front but it slides back ever so slowly, that eventually sits back again.Anyway, I’m holding back on returning this product because I really do love it and it fits perfectly on the 22 JL, minus the arm length flaw. Looking for an extension arm that could potentially work. Here’s to hoping!

It installed really easy, but as it heated up the rubber padding that holds the phone in came off, & the screw on top had to have some locktite to prevent it from backing out

This is an okay product. Feels to be constructed fine. It does add a bit of height to the dashboard that may bother some people. The location of the phone holder is eh.. You have to place the phone in towards the buttons (iPhone) or the phone will obstruct the view of the driver. Okay product at best.

Loved that it is assembled on to the little.compartment in the dash. So theres no way its falling off. The holder is very sturdy, the only issue is that once installed the phone stays facing upwards, to fix that i put two pennies under the holder were the screws go to make it stay facing down. Other than that works perfectly. For that little defect, the price should be a little less.

The biggest downfall to this is your phone is being heated from the sun the whole time driving, I live in Texas and had my phone up there mounted doing gps. Phone shut down to heat warning with AC running and cab temp around 74. the sun just beams in on your phone and heats it up like crazy. if not driving into the sun it works great! Must be made for Seattle where you do not get much sunshine.
