Very interesting buy!
Interesting buy!I needed a throttle cable immediately. And I was able to order it with one day shipping that was awesome.I really liked the thought of having new grips, mine are 10 years old.The quality of the grips are okay, The only flaw I had was two, The first one I had a feeling it was going to happen regardless. When forcing the left grip on, the plastic chrome coated piece in the center became lose. Just a small time spin to it, I could add glue to it and it would be fine. That's no biggie, If anything try not to twist them on like I did, If you could use a heat gun that method might be better, I just honestly didn't really care. The second flaw is the twist grip, could be something I did totally wrong but it doesn't retract right. I can open the throttle wide open and let go and it will hang on wide open for 5 - 7 seconds, also the seal line is on top not one the bottom if that means anything to this problem. I really feel like I might of done that all wrong myself though.Let's talk about the product. And it's usage!For 78 inches, It's not as long as you really think. I actually ran into some issues with needing at least 10 more inches of routing the cable but I finally configured a method. So once again, even though the cable is considered the longest cable you really should not have a problem, even if you had extra cable once you get to the carb, more power to you, you can do a nice hidden routing job!I installed the product on a GY6 Vip scooter that's 6 foot long,Would I consider for others to buy?Of course!!Look at it like this, If you find someone local they will charge you 30 dollars for a cable..This product is already 15 with some nice grips!You could even buy it for just the cable and consider the grips for another day. In general recommended!Good job Minireen!!
