I haven't tested this yet but I've used one in the past. It's not perfect and not an air conditioner. But when your AC breaks and it's 102...this is heaven. This item was shipped and delivered thru the US mail and not Amazon so it was not handled carefully. Package was broken/torn and not gently placed at my door.

I can see why @chris crawford is leaking, because he's missing the second blue tube which I'm assuming is coming from the reservoir collecting water droplets from the front. I have the tube shown in that photo and the additional blue tube coming from the front. Anyhow, I'm somewhat relieved that it works, but still have a few droplets escaping, I don't know what to say about that. Arctic air though, NO. Few days have passed since my review, did some research and bingo! DO NOT USE ICE, DO NOT FREEZE the filter in front. Evaporative cooling works better when HOT air comes into the machine. I can report that it is working better now and no more leaking. It's definitely better than a ceiling fan, which I could not install since my ceiling is too low. It's definitely a challenge to cool my room, exposed to the sun with a 25' glass wall, even with black out shutters, still gets a bit hot at times. This cooler is definitely helping, especially when pointed to my desk. For sure anything smaller would not work. Update: This does not work at all. The water needs to be refilled every 3 hrs, and seriously it does very little to a 250sq ft enclosed space.

This does cool the air down but, will over condensate and start throwing water droplets on the ground information of it. For the price, it is ok but I won't highly recommend this. In hot environments (anything 80 degrees or higher), you won't really feel too much of a difference.

works well for summer

It’s quiet, and streamline not intrusive at all. I would suggest that you put refrigerated water in the container . And get a second ice pack so you always have a frozen one. I also have used the reusable ice cubes in a pinch .

I got two of these units so I know it wasnt a fluke. The name ARTIC AIR is an absolute joke it DOES NOT blow cold air AT ALL in fact it blows less air than a small fan ! YOU almost cant feel anything EVEN when your an inch away...very dissapointed Amazon would sell an item as untruthful as this is! Maybe Amazon doesnt know, maybe they will read this review. I am contacting them tomorrow to return them ...a complete waste of money dont buy it !I only chose one star because it wouldnt let me move forward unless I did....it doesnt deserve any stars !

The tower it does spin and after days later..the spring thing would stop working after weeks later. when the tower spin of amount of full water of the tank.. it does get heavy. And the tower does scratch the buttom and it does create the scratch noise sound like a squeaky door and the tower always cause raddle noise that on high fan noise... the price is to high and it just a plastic fan.. my price for this thing should be $47 instead

It cools my 14x14 room that gets lots of heat from single pane window that would get up to 84 during the day my cental air could not keep it like the rest of the house. With this tower the room is 78 during the day . Overall it is worth buying.

I never thought it would work as well as it does

Cooling is awesome but lasted only 2 weeks... after 2 weeks started to leak... my carpet totally ruined...On third week it's motor burnt...Now looking for a new cooler

This is a wet fan at best. It spits water all over the floor. It’s just moist air. Not worth the money at all.
