Decent hardware but ancient software really drags it down.
The Adapter itself works pretty well, however the software is terrible. You won't find any drivers or software on any website. Instead you're stuck with a tiny CD when a lot of modern computers don't even have an optical drive. The drivers/software that it comes with is a very old version of Bluesoleil. I believe it was version 5 or 6 whereas there is a version 10 available now. This is probably done to prevent paying a ~$25 licensing fee. It works, but is hardly intuitive.I'd recommend the default windows 8/7 stack. After a lot of trial and error, I finally found a way to make it work.- Uninstall any bluetooth software if you've already installed. Go to your device manager in the control panel. Then right click your bluetooth device in the universal serial bus controllers section (csr something) and select properties. Go to driver tab and select update driver. Click on Browse my computer for driver software then let me pick from a list of device drivers. Finally select Generic Bluetooth Radio. You should see a bluetooth icon on the notification area of your windows start bar after it installs and presto you're finally done. I'll write more if people still need help setting things up later. As for the hardware itself, I don't have any complaints. Range is decent and sound quality is great on my bluetooth headphones.

Don't waste your time.
Absolute piece of junk. Apparently I didn't check the reviews before I bought it, because I see that many others have complained about the same situation I encountered. Device comes with no serial number, and when you try to activate it you are prompted to spend approximately $28 to buy one. Additionally, it states a user manual is included on the disc... there is no user manual. I see some people managed to attain basic functionality, but I have been unable to even get it to stream sound to my earbuds. (Admittedly I haven't gone to the lengths I see some people have... I am not about to try to manually update KEXT files, whatever they are, or strip out drivers to replace them with generic ones. I have a firm rule that if something doesn't work out of the box I don't keep it. Keeping it only encourages crooked and/or incompetent companies... I would prefer to see them driven out of business. This is going back under Amazon's A-Z guarantee program.)

Working well on Win 7 and with Android, but software isn't user friendly, and not quite seeing the range.
Still playing with it, the BlueSoleil software isn't super user friendly (and the CD didn't boot on it's own), but I have it running on my Win7 workstation at work and it sync'd with headphones easily enough. Reconnecting doesn't appear to be as convenient as it should be as far as the software goes, but the hardware appears to be working great.Getting the android devices hooked up was a bit more difficult, you have to make the dongle visible from the computer and connect through the android device (couldn't get it to work the other way around), then got the message on the computer to allow. So far the audio sounds great, and I can exchange files to the android devices.I am however not seeing the class 1 range that is advertised. We have quite a few BT devices in the office so I'm hoping it's just interference at longer ranges (even though that sucks regardless), but it's been cutting out at standard class 2 ranges. Going to try in a less "connected" environment and see how that works.

Does the trick
I bought this lil USB Bluetooth adaptor as a replacement for my Altec Lansing Bluetooth adaptor. It came in a timely manner, dispite the recent Polar Vortex disrupting travel movements earlier this week. The included software cd installed the drivers for my HP laptop running Windows 7 64 bit. The Bluetooth adaptor found the speakers, but took a moment to connect, which is okay. The only reason it's a four star review is the price. If it where a few bucks cheaper, say under $8, then it'll be a five star product.

NAGGING POP UPS ABOUT REGISTRATION CODE!
After installing the driver/software off the Cd(TWNT-7008CT), many people like me get a pop up message about a stupid registration code saying your adapter may be illegal or unauthorized which is ridiculous. There is no registration code in the package! What's worse, I bought one of these GMYLE USB micro bluetooth adapters which was described as being "new" yet it had scotch tape on the package and had been resealed.

Fantastic device for long range device needs (+30ft)
I recently made the switch to PC as the new console generation was ushered in. Got everything in place and had a trusty PS3 controller I intended to connect wirelessly to my new gaming rig and play in another room. After thorough searches through Amazon I came across this little device and felt the reviews were legit enough for me to order it. Received it in no time and it worked like a charm. True to its claim, I'm able to play without input lag at a distance over 50 feet. For anyone interested in the driver I used to connect the DS3 controller to the bluetooth reciever (better driver than the shady, buggy, virus prone MotionJoy) I'll post the link: [...]The driver is legit, virus free, and doesn't require an internet connection, also doesn't link to shady Chinese websites like MotionJoy. Ever since then it's just been as easy as turning on my DS3 and the bluetooth immediately recognizes it, no hassle.

I have tried other bluetooth adaptors and will say this one is better than the other
The tough part about this is that while it is advertised to have a 100 meter range, it needs to be line-of-site. While this is a limitation of bluetooth itself, I've found that I can barely get reception around 1 corner in my apartment roughly 15-20 feet away.I have tried other bluetooth adaptors and will say this one is better than the other.

SCAM item possibly counterfeit?
Does work for 2MB bandwidth then it states in an error that I need a serial number to continue using it! spent the money buying two of them and now I am ripped off! No way to reach out to GMYLE so I suppose they are counterfeiters?

Superb piece of kit
Just what I wanted for my laptop and as it says it is so small I do not worry about leaving it permanently installed

Three Stars
Never 100m but the bluetooth software that comes with it makes up for that.
