Dot Grid Notebook: Large (8.5 x 11 inches) - 106 Dotted Pages || Black Dotted Notebook/Journal

Very good notebook for a very good price.
For some reason, good quality A4 sized notebooks are getting very hard to find, and are prohibitively expensive when you can find them.These notebooks are good quality paper (90 gsm) for a great price. I also love the wonderfully minimalist style.I’m a fountain pen user, and fountain pen ink often bleeds through lighter weight paper, so I need between 90 gsm and 120 gsm weight paper (gsm refers to grams per square meter, higher numbers indicate thicker, and usually higher quality paper). 120 gsm is ideal, but 90 gsm is certainly good enough for everyday writing. Ink swatches may bleed through, but standard writing is unlikely to bleed through (I have tested this with Pelikan 4001, Pilot’s Iroshizuku, and Waterman inks).I am very impressed with these notebooks. They offer great “bang for the buck.”

Best notebook for calculus
This is the best notebook I’ve ever used for class. I migrated from using an iPad Pro (12.9 inch) because I missed the feel of real paper and this notebook really scratched that itch, and more. The notebook is roughly the same size as the iPad and the paper is a beautiful off white/cream with dots. First time I used a notebook with the dot grid paper and it really is amazing. I used the notebook to self study calculus since I took it a couple of years ago and now soon I’ll be taking physics, so this notebook was used for jotting notes down from free MIT lectures online as well as doing textbook problems.Now for the more analytical stuff:The paper is very attractive. It’s definitely thick enough that gel pen and sharpie PEN doesn’t bleed through noticeably (I’ve included an up close pic). Thick sharpie most certainly does bleed through so watch out. Also, if you write heavy handed with a pencil and then erase, a permanent imprint will remain on the page. All the pens/pencils used in the pictures demonstrated were either 0.5 or 0.38, the perfect size I would say for fitting in between the grids.The left hand pages crease a bit as you have the book open and try to flatten that side to write on it, but really nothing terrible.The cover is a really soft velvety material. It feels soft to the touch and on the inside you can tell it’s a kind of carboard material. I don’t think it would hold up well in a backpack being tossed around or with sharp objects or wired books near it, so for me it’ll stay home.Something to note is that all of these books (I ordered a few after receiving the first and falling in love) is that every single one had weird glue-residue-like marks on the front. It really doesn’t bother me at all but if that’s something that would annoy you, take note of that. I included this in a picture as well. Also, don’t try to write on the side of the cover (the part you would see if it was away on a bookshelf). I tried writing on it twice with sharpie pen but it rubbed off both times, despite not opening the book for hours after.TLDR: All in all, this is literally my favorite notebook of all time. I’ll be using this notebook almost exclusively for all my upcoming engineering classes. The book is large, has plenty of pages, the pages are thick and gel pen/pencil looks beautiful on it. There’s very few cosmetic flaws but really what’s on the inside is the closest thing to perfect. 10/10 for this physics/engineering student and will be exclusively buying these from now

BUY IT!
I was so worried this journal would be pure sh*t because it was so cheap. But I was like hey, it’s so cheap.... might as well try. The only reason I’m writing this review is that I had to go through my orders so I could re order this product and it asked me to write a review. Since I’m ordering three more I figured I might as well! I love love love love this. It’s not the thickest book but it’s only $4. I’m buying more so I can separate my work and school stuff. Overall, I’m so pleased with this journal!!! I don’t know why it’s so cheap because it’s incredible. I hope that by saying that I don’t make them raise the price oops!!!TL;DR: BUY IT, THE PRICE IS CHEAP AND THIS JOURNAL ROCKS

I love the simple design choice of this notebook
I love the simple design choice of this notebook; it literally comes as shown and has a matte cover. Despite it being pretty, the matte cover easily attracts all the oils from your finger, but that is expected of matte covers. The paper repelled most bleeding, but there were only a few ghosting from certain markers/pens (I tested Paper Mate Flair Tips, Pilot Frixion Highighters, other Pilot pens, Mitsubishi and Tombow brush pens, and regular Crayola markers). Other than the ink situation, the paper is an ideal color and texture for me. The dots are in no way distracting, but are rather subtle. However, a drawback to the dots are that they don't fill the entire page so there are thick margins all around, but that's just a preference so you can decide whether or not you like it. As for something someone might expect, the pages are not perforated so everything is in place. Upon further inspection, the notebook is not only a perfect binding, but is also held together by a stitch bind so this will not fall apart any time soon unless you deliberately try to. With all of this in mind, I rate this notebook a four out of five stars just because of the minor details that are purely just based off my personal preferences in finding the perfect notebook. Even though it's not my perfect, it's still very close where the positives outweigh the negative.As a sort-of mini separate review of the seller and my experience contacting Lila Notebooks, I had a pleasant time exchanging emails because they responded fast and provided answers to my concerns. On top of that, the fact that the founder created these as an aid for aesthetic notebooks for college students or students in general called out to me. It is also nice to know that a portion of each order goes to charity. I highly recommend purchasing products from this company and this specific notebook!

Glue-binding makes it easy to use as a “covered pad of paper”
This is ideal as a design pad for briefcase or backpack, since it’s easy to pull off the top page of the paper. I keep one tucked into my desk bookshelf for when paper is the right design medium.

Ottimo
Promossi!
