The name is weird but the product is solid. I don’t see the purpose in investing in expensive lifting equipment until you’re getting into true powerlifting territory and your squats and DLs exceed 500 lbs - that’s where the best quality might matter due to the extended stress that kind of weight puts on your straps, belts, etc. that being said, my current squat is around 380 for a max and my latest PR for DL is 425 lbs.This belt feels like a major upgrade over my basic $25 belt I got from the E26 or whatever that brand is, which is a great brand and helped me feel secure with an adjustable Velcro strap style belt. But once I got to the 3+ plate territory I felt like that belt was maybe a bit undeserving. So I got this IBRO belt. The name is kinda weird but it feels a lot stronger and helps me stay composed during heavy squats and deadlifts where my older belt didn’t.I highly recommend this for anyone that’s graduating from the beginner level lifting to intermediate and want to be cost conscious without getting a trash product. I imagine that if I add another 100-200 lbs to my squat and deadlift I may eventually consider an even greater quality belt. But for now, with where I’m at, this belt is serving me very well.

It's good and I would buy it again

This is a quality belt. First, it's somewhat softer than other belts (ie Inzer forever Belt; and not quite as stiff). The lever is connected with fewer layers making it easier to use, and less likely to have prongs come through and tear the leather. Provides plenty of support. Very, satisfied with this purchase, and would recommend to any serious power or weight lifter a bargain for the price.

I will be 70 within two months and have been weightlifting since I was 20. Based on this experience, the IBRO weightlifting belt is by far the best belt I have ever used in nearly 50 years of training. The quality of the leather is great, and it feels good around the waist. I recommend this belt without hesitation!

This belt is quite sturdy and strong on your waist line. It definitely does it’s job by holding down and supporting your waist/stomach for full support when lifting heavy weights. Basically protects your back and core. It offers stability and stiffness to your body, that’s for sure! Very easy to use and lock-in, just need a screwdriver. The color is ideal but if you like an alternate color, it comes in a variety of them. And it fits just right…man, this belt works wonders.

Belt showed up full of mold…. Appeared to be brand new still in the original packaging but covered in mold

Great support! You can feel safe and confident that you’re protected. Quality of belt is great and was easy to assemble! Very happy that I was able to do my squats and other leg exercises without any problems. Would definitely recommend this belt. Honestly everything about this belt is great!

Couldn’t recommend a better belt, easily adjust with a Philips screwdriver. The lever is awesome feature, great back support and core compression. Really changed my squats. I just wish IBRO made lifting straps.
