I love and adore this product. Despite the mixed reviews about getting the app to work, I took the plunge. Unfortunately it arrived the evening before I had to go away for a few days and it wasn't playing ball. I had already split my frequencies as I needed to for my robotic vacuum cleaner. I therefore assumed that there was a problem with the app as nothing was working properly. The machine itself is a doddle to put together, but I could not update the firmware and emailed support in frustration. Rowena confirmed the next day (allow for time zones) that the firmware needed to be updated. We have had a sweet exchange of emails and I cannot fault the support she gave me. Two days later I return (despite receiving messages from the app that the kibble had failed to dispense, the cat was fed by offspring, don't worry) and reset my router as recommended by Vodafone (other broadband suppliers are available). 10 minutes later the machine sprang into life and confirmed that the software had been updated. The damned thing is actually quite chatty. I have had huge fun programming the now functioning app, and setting my voice command. The Siamese is really very grumpy and vocal about it all. Firstly, I left him for two days and he nearly died from starvation apparently (3 meals and 2 snacks daily are insufficient). Secondly my voice emanates from this weird machine when I am clearly behind him. Thirdly, he cannot break in. He can't flip it over or wriggle his murder mittens into the spout. He cannot remove the lid. He has demolished 4 feeders in his 18 years. Completely, absolutely trashed them. He has flipped them over and broken them apart, and once ate two days worth of food in one sitting. Then was sick. He is an absolute terror. I can even randomly send him 5g of kibble from my office 40 miles away by using the app. This is absolutely what technology is for - to feed an ageing, food-obsessed Siamese cat in the rural English East Midlands. For all of you struggling, try turning your router on and off, apparently they need this regularly to keep them on their toes. Definitely recommended by human. Siamese not too sure.

Initially, I would like to say that the auto feeder is very handy for us. We bought it for our dog, a lovely cavalier king Charles spaniel.We decided to purchase this product for a few reasons, but I will mention two which I consider the most important:1- It helps us to control the amount of food that our little monster usually has daily. So, the best feature is precisely the capacity to set up the right amount of food for her.2- Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are needy dogs. When we have to work, she spends some hours independently, so giving her some food remotely is insanely good.We are fully satisfied! Also, is important to mention that the support team is incredible.Thank you!

I’ve been using this feeder for three months and it is completely useless. I bought it to control the amount of food my cat eats without needing to measure exact amount every day myself. But the feeder scales are completely broken. For example it shows >50g surplus food left when the bowl is actually empty. So, it doesn’t add new food to the bowl. If you just rely on the feeder your cat will get zero food. To make it work I need to recalibrate the feeder every couple of days. At this rate it’s easier to weight the food myself. At least I know for sure my cat has something to eat.

Easy to set up with the app. Only works with 2.4ghz Wi-Fi so make sure this is switched on before you try to set up. Quiet motor to dispense. Bowl rotates whilst dispensing which helps spread the food out. Easy access for the cat to get to all the food. Dosing is set by weight that you can choose how much it does. The food is weighty in the bowl as it dispenses. Fantastic bit of kit.

It's good enough. But. It was really unexpected that it would feed without the food bowl. It said 'the food bar is not in place' and just start feeding in one minute, because it was scheduled.
