The rods make your hood stick up from the fenders about 1/2" from the windshield to about halfway down the fender. good quality struts but they just don't sit right

Bought the kit because it was decently priced but doesnt have clear instructions on how to install. They send tons of hardware that isn’t marked clearly on what model it fits. Fitment is bad. Just a very poor quality kit and instructions.

The media could not be loaded.  I didn’t like the kits online for Miata hood struts but this one is well priced and works great. The struts are a tight fit in my 1991 mx5 but it came with a lot of mounting hardware so you can find the right fit and they were quality parts. I bent my pieces slightly to improve the fitment but it was very easy to install. I don’t know about the lifespan of the struts but I hope they last. The best price and exactly what I wanted. Thank you!

Also directions are vague and not clear. Wasted my time and effort and money.

Quality seems OK it it just doesn't fit on my car, a 91 Miata NA, for which it is advertised.

Didn't clear the gap in the fender and hood. And wouldn't allow hood to close properly and sit flush with fender. Waste of money

The price was a little higher than I'd like and the instructions weren't great but the installation took maybe 3-5mins as it's not very complicated. It seemed like a silly purchase but ultimately I really do like the struts and they seem to be well made. 2 weeks in and haven't had any problems with them yet. 2005 Mazda Miata

There's a lot of different hardware to apparently fit a variety of years. All the instructions that came with it are wrong and horrible for a na. Hood doesn't fit tight to the fender like it originally did. The pictures I took are the best combo I could come up with as I tried all the hardware. Had to remove the middle fender bolt on both sides as the strut hits it. The strut when closed rubbed on the fender On the engine side. Probably would not have suggested them but, they were a Christmas gift. I do like the idea of more room in the engine compartment by not using the original hood prop rod.
