After being quoted 50k and 35k by hvac companies for installation of minisplits, I got brave and ordered this unit. It was shockingly easy to install with no previous experience. If you can drill a hole, put in some screws and screw together pipes, you can do this (though I did get an electrician to do the wiring for me). I'm toasty warm and happy (and save a huge amount of $$)

This is my second 36k and fourth Mr. Cool unit. They were all easy to install and none took less than an hour to setup.

All items was delivered in perfect condition, not a dent in any of the box’s. Brand new items, works, exactly as advertised 👍

First impression the units are nice and the installation isn’t bad if you are a mechanical type of person. Initially when we used the units we encountered a problem and the mrcool tech helped me through it. We installed during the summer and the ac was a welcome treat. However once we reached the winter we encountered a huge problem with no real solid help/solution from mrcool. The units are two 9k and one 24k unit. When the 24k unit is heating the other two 9k units will constantly run when on. Even if we have the temp set at the minimum heat temp of 62 it’s still pumping out 85 degree air. The room gets unbearable hot when on then cold when you turn it off. The programming on these systems is just horrible. I cannot understand why it does not maintain the room temp by turning off and on even if it was a range of a few degrees off but not 23 degrees. The tech line has offered no help in the solution to the problem.For those like us where we could not afford to have a professional come and install a $15+ system I wish we would have gone with a single zone system. The multi zone systems are just to complex and have too many issues. I had high hopes after reading the reviews of these products but found that the reviews posted at most sites are not representative of the actual experiences people are having with the products.I’m sure I’ll get a comment say “ oh we are so sorry please reach out to us”. Well we have and we are not satisfied with your response service or products. $6000 dollars later we have a system that isn’t reliable or trustworthy.Check your area to see if there is a mrcool installer/repair tech in your area. If not good luck getting anyone to come and work on it. I doubt mrcool is going to send a tech a hundred miles to fix your system.Buyer beware
