so i had been confused on how to put this on my boat trailer with the tire for quite some time. there was no directions at all. i found the best way to install this onto the boat trailer was by having the tire rest on top of the trailer then going from the bottom up threw the rim then screwing the latches on. i have took a picture of what i did so others dont get confused

I had read some of the product reviews that stated there were no nuts provided and decided that I would try it anyway; for the price, even if I had to get nuts for it I would be satisfied. It doesn't come with nuts because it doesn't need nuts. The two pieces that create the locking ability are threaded and are used as the nuts to hold the tire to the U bolt. A simple and effective design. I mounted a spare to my jet ski trailer and it worked great!

The media could not be loaded.  I have a 14" rim with a ST215/75R14 tire. Does the job. Bargain price to secure a spare tire and have piece of mind. The top of the bracket can be twisted a little with the lock installed. But that's no problem. The mount does not lossen. Tire stays secure and tight. You could probably drill two holes and place a cross bolt/pin to keep it from twisting if it bothers you.

I used to keep my spare for my trailer in my front hold, then would toss it into my truck when I arrived. I wanted to keep it on the trailer, and this very affordable product allowed me to mount it to my ez-loader 1214 in about 5 minutes. It takes a padlock of some sort to keep the holders from walking back, but I want to lock my spare anyway. Unless this product fails catastrophically in use I am very satisfied with how it works. We'll see how it holds up to a long boating trip.

These are super simple and really great. I decided to drill two holes in my trailer frame and run this through them. They fit super tight and hold my spare completely up and out of the way. Excellent easy product at a great price!

From the look of the product, I did not think it would work. however I unscrewed the are arm nuts (or whatever the are called) slide the U around my frame of my trailer, added my tire, bout the arm nuts, screwed them on, lined them up and added lock. My little tire does not move. Love it.

I used it to mount my 12" 5-hole spare tire horizontally at the front of my trailer (just under the bow of my boat). Easy install and seems sturdy enough. I didn't lock the tabs together, and the hardware is a little awkward to spin off and on quickly so I probably should have just used wingnuts or lug nuts. Nice to know I can lock it if I want. Hopefully it holds up to the saltwater.

We used this to replace the ratchet strap we were using to attach our spare tire to our boat trailer. This one works surprising well! We were unsure due to the cheap price, but it is holding up with no issues on our long drives on crappy Colorado roads (I-76 east bound in particular). Would recommend!
