Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (Blu-ray + DVD)

So Hansel and Gretel did more than get coaxed into a witches house by way of candy. They set her butt on fire! I love this movie! Has a lot of humor in it. It’s definitely not a little kids movie! In fact they are out to save a bunch of little kids before the great blood moon when the kids will be executed. Hansel and Gretel save the day! Action packed and has a lot of gross death scenes which makes it that much better!!!

I watched this with my entire family and we all loved it! The comedy and action together was great!

Might be a little bit too much action and intensity for younger viewers. It is entertaining and moves along quite nicely.

I LOVE the movie and the way they rewrote it to add to it. It's got a few cuss words and it shows a woman's back side so I don't know how you feel about your kids watching it but I know that they see and hear much more than that on the phone or school. The special effect are great and the make up. But they are bad to the bone witch hunters and "killers" great weapons, they whole story. Hansel is diabetic and so am I so I related to that. I don't think that it's too scary for kids to watch but the parents will have to decide that. It's nothing that they don't see on Halloween. I've watched it 3 or 4 times. Gretel is bad to the bone as well. I'm just a big fan of the movie. I will continue to watch it over again. But I love to see a witch get punched in the face!!! Lol

Hollywood seems to be on a fairy tale kick these days and when one studio is on a kick, the others have to follow suit to compete. Last year we had competing Snow White movies and the first movie to follow suit this year is "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters", an R-rated take on the classic fairy tale. As a reminder, Hansel and Gretel are the two twins who stumble across a house made of candy in the forest and commence to eating before they realize that they are enjoying the spells of an evil witch. That is pretty much how this movie starts out as well, but after that, the fairytale is elaborated upon to say the least.Hansel and Gretel are legendary witch hunters when the movie picks up in the middle of a small town about to burn a supposed-witch at the stake. The town has had a rash of child abductions and in classic witch movie fashion, they are out for blind justice on whatever witch they can get their hands on. Jeremy Renner (Hansel) and Gemma Arterton (Gretel) play the title roles and they bring a strong level of coolness to a movie that is already loaded with coolness.The movie starts off fast and never slows down. The action is fast and furious and the 3D is exceptional. The action scenes are quick and entertaining, although much of the moments are lost with edits that are too quick. Things come hurtling toward your face and to say the least, the 3D works well. Just because a movie is loaded with non-stop coolness and special effects doesn't mean that it is without flaw though."Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" is 95 minutes of entertainment and excitement. The villain, Muriel, played by Famke Janssen, is exciting and dangerous. You fear her after the first time she single-handedly annihilates a group of witch hunters. Unfortunately though, that is the only real emotion I ever felt in the movie. The movie never slowed down to establish a connection with its title characters and the audience. When their lives are in jeopardy or their friend's lives are in jeopardy, it never once pulled my emotional string. They justify that emotion as well, by not caring either."Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" is a fun trip to the movies, but when it's over, it's over. You won't care about it anymore. It won't live on in conversation with any of your friends. It garners only a shrug of the shoulders and a quick, "Ehh." It's too bad too because it is also one of those movies that had the potential to be great. The director obviously knew what he was doing visually, but was too wrapped up in looking cool that he forgot to make people care.

E' la storia di Hansel e Gretel, ormai adulti, che in seguito agli episodi della nota fiaba sono diventati cacciatori di streghe.....Già visto decine di volte in tv: lo volevo da collezionare per giornate straccia maroni come queste, in cui dobbiamo restare tumulati in casa per via del COVID-19

Para los que tengan duda sobre si trae castellano la edición de Reino Unido tanto audio y subtítulos, la respuesta es afirmativa y por ello adjunto fotos de la parte trasera del estuche, cosa que se debería siempre aportar en las ediciones extranjeras para que los clientes compren con total confianza y seguridad. Esta edición es la extendida de 98 min. de duración y con extras pero no incluye la versión de cines. El sonido como se puede observar para nuestro doblaje es dolby digital 5.1 y merece totalmente la pena esta versión de metraje ampliado tanto por su precio que sale más económico que la nacional como por su contenido, pues de por sí la versión cinematográfica es super entretenida y si le añadimos unos cuantos minutos más mejor que mejor. En resumen, compra pero que muy recomendada. Gracias y saludos.
