Works for Ladies too
So I know this may be odd but these are amazing gym shorts. When I work out I like shorts not pants as it's hot in FL. I also don't like tights, and I don't like short shorts as they provide as much coverage as a swimsuit in certain poses and I don't have a flattering barbie shape. I just want to go to the gym in comfortable shorts, that can hold my phone, ID and a key, and hide my ugly thighs why I work out in peace. I could find no such clothing item in the "women" section. I ordered a size down from what I would in women's and they fit great, they fall just above my knee. I may look a little off but it is so nice being able to stretch and work out while maintaining coverage of essential areas and having pockets for my stuff with zippers so everything doesn't fall out. Nice over pants for the cushioned bicycle underwear/short as well.

Good outdoor activity short
These are a good basic pair of shorts. I have 3 pairs now, they are comfortable for hiking, biking, swimming etc. I wouldn’t wear these to the gym, the material is more designed for “outdoor” use, Similar to swim trunk material. I’ve worn these rafting, backpacking, and biking. Best use is water sports for sure, quick to dry and zipper pockets are nice. Just wish the zippers pulled top to bottom to close. It’s always awkward to pull a zipper up on a side pocket. The waist ties are good, they don’t disappear into the waist band even when washing. I like the elastic as well, comfy and saves on having to carry a belt on trips/ end up with dry shorts and a wet belt. I wear mine fairly baggy and this makes them a little longer but in general they are a slightly below the knee short. There was a little ride up and adjustments needed when biking and hiking but nothing too annoying and a tighter fit might eliminate that issue. If there was a side pocket for a tool or cell phone they’d be even better. Overall, this is a great light weight short for outdoor use and has shown good durability so far.

The "Large" does fit me fine if you were wondering
Picture the cheapest "dri-fit" material you can in your mind. Now turn that material into a pair of shorts. Bam: you have these shorts. They are straight outta China, as the tag has 5XXL (i got large) and the care tag is only in Chinese. The "Large" does fit me fine if you were wondering, but I got sort of depressed that I would be a 5XXL Chinese dude.I think I looked at their sizing chart and whatever my waist size was it lined up with the Large that they offered. For the cash, you can't beat what you get and I am fine with what these are. If you are one of "em" that has to have the name brand stuff that runs you Grant or Franklin, then keep on scrolling past this page.

Super lightweight, extremely comfortable, stretchy
I bought these for hiking in Utah (Zion National park) in the 90 degree heat. They were absolutely perfect! Super lightweight, almost feels like you’re not wearing anything. Nice and stretchy. I bought them in a few colors. They look really nice too!

Best of the best.
These seem to be the most comfortable shorts with fully closable pockets (after trying about 20 different shorts over the years). The material stretches (5% spandex) and fits slightly above the knee - these do not hang up (catch) on the knee as so many other brands do. The pocket zippers will close with a 5.5" cell phone, with more than 1/2" left over - a 5.8" Iphone8, or 5.8" Samsung 8 should fit with room left over. Some buyers may find the pocket openings small, but this could also be considered a good thing, as things tend to not fall out when not zipped. If you are very active and want shorts that will secure things, these seem better than anything else on the market currently. Notice Amazon has these exact same shorts (Outdoorsports label) sold by at least 5 different companies. I bought the first pair of these from Singbring and the zipper flap material was sewed on backwards - Yifun, and Vcansion, show the same mistake in the product photos. Donhobo, has the zipper flaps sewed on normally - this can be seen in the product photos. Three of these were bought from Donhobo, and am wearing one now. Oh...one more nice thing: the waist tie is on the inside - this looks neater, and does not stick out. This allows a shirt to lie flat instead of sticking out.

9/11 would buy again.
I'm actually pretty impressed with these. Was looking for a comparable offering from Nike, Addidas, or another big name brand, found these while browsing. Ordered a size over what I was listed to wear (36" waist listed as a large, ordered an x-large) fits perfectly. Stretchy materials are super comfy in hot humid weather and wick moisture away when you work up a sweat. Loved my first pair so much I got two more in different colors (although one came in as an XXL, it still fits well, just a smidge looser) the waistband is elastic and holds well to your waist, so you don't need to worry about pants sagging, but the internal string permits an even more secure fit. Zippers work really well, while anything you put in there will print, it's not that big of an issue. The booty pocket is kinda worthless though, I will say. I don't ever worry about my phone or wallet falling out or stuff getting stolen by a pick-pocket. Great for working out, great for every day use, great for running, and for the guys they definitely make your junk look bigger.

poor quality
I believe I found these on a "best travel shorts" list as I was looking for something with zippers in them for more security when traveling. They double as a good workout short as well. Though, the quality is not great. The seam in the waist starting to come apart within weeks of wearing and the R pocket has also now has a big hole in it from me keeping my phone in it. Almost to the point where I cannot keep my phone in said pocket anymore. They weren't expensive but have gotten better quality for same price in the past.

Useful, and Practical..
They weren't 100% fantastic, but they did the job during my 5 hour hike. They were also ever so slightly small, but not uncomfortably or even preventatively so. I think if I had purchased a slightly larger size, they may have been a little more flowy (is that a word) and might have gotten caught on branches or something else on my hike. I would definitely buy these again though.
