Pioneer ValleyElderberry Pancake Syrup

This is my all-time favorite pancake syrup (maple is a close second). And Pioneer Valley makes a good one!My earliest experience with elderberries came at my great-aunt's house in Okmulgee, OK, when I was a child. They had massive elderberry bushes on their property, and they always had elderberry preserves, jelly, syrup, and, yes, wine on hand when we visited. We weren't allowed to pick/eat raw elderberries - they're poisonous - but we often had vanilla ice cream with elderberry compote for dessert during the summer.I rediscovered Elderberry Syrup again a few years ago when I found it on another website and ordered it just to see if it was as I remembered. It was -- and then some. Yes, it was this very same Pioneer Valley product and it has a slightly tart full flavor that is reminiscent of a cross between huckleberry and raspberry. It's perfect on buttermilk pancakes or waffles, and I've also used it in a glaze for roasted lamb. Just perfectly yummy!I really do love this -- solid 5 stars!

I love this pancake syrup you can’t find it in the store anywhere and it’s pretty good for the money it’s not bad you get a pretty big bottle the only bad thing is I wish you could find it in the store but you can’t anymore but I’m glad I found it on Amazon and this is my second time buying it I love it services very expensive but if you want it bad enough you’ll pay for it

you typically won't find this flavor in most grocery stores. If you want to try a different flavor of pancake syrup, give this a try. It's great !
