I searched and tried several different gels (including Shine ‘n Jam’s Extra Hold, Supreme, and Magic Fingers; Ulta Beauty’s Eco Olive oil gel, Moco de Gorila), and pomades (including Murray’s in the orange tin). They all worked somewhat, but none lasted more than 30 minutes to keep my edges smooth and slick like this one (except, Murray’s works if applied overnight to give a soft wavy hair look). Last week, I just happened to pick this one up off a store shelf as another trial just like the rest. I was not expecting anything much because I have been disappointed with all of the rest. Well, the instant I applied it, I was amazed! It has the consistency of Shine n’ Jam’s products but it truly lasts for hours! I have natural hair (dreads). It keeps my edges smooth, slick, and straight (almost like a permed or straightened effect). It dries fast, and hardens slightly, but still looks sleek, and lasts. A little goes a long way. I rub just a little on then brush it through, and my edges look amazing! I usually wash it out by the end of the day. It leaves no residue. So far, it has not caused any hair damage or loss, nor has it caused any skin irritation, rashes, or bumps. I surely wish that I had found this product sooner—I could have saved a lot of time, money, and aggravation! Moving forward this will be the one and only gel that I will buy to use for my edges. I highly recommend this product.

I bought my product and found that it works great as a light weight gel for my twist outs and wash and go. That is not an easy task for my 4c hair. It makes my hair clump without the frizzy fly aways i normally get.

it came liquefied and it leaked out of the container. it would be too much of a hassle to even send it back. really disappointed.

bought this from sam's beauty for $2.50 a jar. I should have done my research before buying. On this website, as well as Sams - they do not list the ingredients.Anything that has a MIRACLE in the front of it, and it's CHEAP (well, cheaper at Sams), is probably too good to be true.The first ingredient is glycol, the second? MINERAL OIL.. yes, ladies, that cheap, miracle product that african pride doesn't advertise openly, but they are quick to put on their label NO PETROLEUM. apparently, they are proud of that.well, that's like saying: "i don't smoke marijuana" while, sniffing cocaine, right?the hold is ridiculously light.. thus, anyone with 4 type hair? don't bother.. At first it lays down immediately, but it has a strange watery feel to it.. I would think in warmer weather, it probably doesn't lay the hair down at all. Just blink, and your edges are up and giving a standing ovation. The hold is no more than 30 seconds on 4 type hair.I was going to mix it with my Perfect Edges with Argon OIl, but figured why? The Perfect Edges gel is helping my hair.. The mineral oil in this OLIVE MIRACLE and other cheaply made products - has broken off my edges completely.Look at the label, ladies. the chick is sitting there in the photograph with 2 fingers at her edges.. I don't know what this is cause its horrible im mad i wasted my money and time buying it from walmartvi was walking around looking a mess cause my edges were wet and curling up its not hard like the last one i used and i should of known then but i dnt use edge control so i had no clue
