A print test guide book to save you from Post Print colour mix-match headaches! We create many books and have found that different printers tend to have slightly different outputs when it comes to colour. Besides the printer types, brands etc., one of the major reasons is that print materials use CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) colour model vs digital screens that use the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) model. In other words, colours you see on the screen are in the RGB spectrum. They are brighter in colour because white light is introduced compared to printing where there is no light hence, colour model CMYK is used. This limits the number of colours possible, therefore they do not look the same and are duller when printed. The main purpose of this book is to visually see how CMYK colours that you pick in your artwork will come out in print and to save you post print headaches. It is also a colour reference guide with CMYK and RGB colour codes, charts, CMYK grids and colour swatches and palettes. This colour test print book is invaluable resource for any self-publisher, cover creator or illustrator and designer. Key Features 8.5โ x 11โ page size on Premium White Paper 90 GSM Stock. Basic colour theory / concepts. Detailed test of CMYK and RGB main colours. 6720+ colour combinations output test with 16 grid full pages. Colour Swatches and Random Colour Palettes. Notebook line tests of various thickness and shades of gray/black (K%). *** Do not waste time with multiple drafts and pinks coming out as magentas or reds as oranges. Use this book as your guide to select the best colour for print! *** Review: Essential Tool for Precision Color Matching in Sublimation - As a graphic designer, finding a reliable way to translate on-screen designs to physical products is critical. This book has become one of my most utilized tools for ensuring color accuracy. By using this reference alongside Adobe Illustrator in CMYK print mode, I am able to achieve perfect color matches consistently. Sublimation Performance I use this specifically with my Sawgrass 1000 sublimation printer, and the results have never failed. It allows me to precisely match graphics to the specific shirts or fabrics I am using for a project, eliminating the guesswork and wasted materials often associated with sublimation printing. Ease of Use and Reliability The layout is clear and easy to navigate, making it simple to find the exact codes needed for a project. Whether you are working on complex apparel designs or simple custom gifts, having a physical reference that matches the printed output so closely is invaluable for a professional workflow. If you are serious about sublimation and want to ensure your colors are beautiful and bright every time, this is an essential investment. It has streamlined my design process and ensured that my finished products look exactly as intended. Review: Disappointing. - There were specific complex colors I wanted to find a code for and the 16 grids were not nearly enough. If you are entirely unfamiliar with four color printing, this is a good place to start. But that's about it: if you are an artist looking for color codes/proportions that replicate colors in your work and are looking for print swatches to match, look elsewhere. This would be more useful for picking colors at the start of a project- but the range is limited. On the other hand, the 16 colorful grid pages are worth $1 apiece to do paper engineering, die cutting, origami and such just using them as fancy papers. I will keep looking and will probably return these (I got two so that I could communicate color with a partner graphic designer without having to actually be in the same space.)
