TL;DR: terrible product, instantly returned the same day and went and got a “Dreamland Luxury Faux Fur Husky Heated Throw” from Argos, which did a far better job for the same money. Avoid this product to save your sanity. I purchased this in somewhat desperation as my heating stopped working as a stop gap for a longer issue. However, this was probably the worst purchase I have ever made, and strive to stop others from doing it. I purchased it, instantly set it up, and started warming it up. After an hour or so, I went back to it, only to find it was far from hot. I originally thought it was not turned on properly, however to my frustration, everything was correctly set up. It was just terrible at heating up. Whilst it is soft and comfortable, the mean reason for the purchase was to warm up my cold bed. Instantly returned the same day and went and got a “Dreamland Luxury Faux Fur Husky Heated Throw” from Argos, which did a far better job for the same money. Avoid this product to save your sanity.

My partner who feels the cold far more than i do, loved this when i got this for her. Saves having to put the heating quite so much, which in tow, means shes warm & im not left roasting whilst saving a few ££ in the long run. Blanket is also lovely and soft. 6 heat settings which is handy too.

Bought one of these back in November. Was very pleased with it for the first few weeks of owning it. Then, out of the blue, after minimal use and following all instructions throughout, it suddenly completely stopped working, with no sign of life at all when plugged in and switched on. I returned the throw and ordered a replacement (same item) from Amazon. I figured it was probably just a stroke of bad luck, a one-off, that the original throw had malfunctioned. Amazon were excellent providing the replacement, picking up the returned item etc. everything went very speedily and smoothly. The replacement throw arrived and, once again, I was happy with it initially. Once again it worked fine initially. And then … once again, after a brief, 4 week period of minimal use, the throw completely ceased working. I’ve returned it again, but I’ve not asked for a replacement this time. I will be purchasing another heated throw, but not this brand. I can see from other reviews here that what happened to me has also happened to others who’ve purchased these throws. My advice, if you’re also considering purchasing one, is be prepared for it to stop working very quickly after initial use or, better still, steer clear of Beurer unless and until they get their act together and stop selling faulty products.

A little difficult to manage as bigger than thought and heavy

Beware don’t buy this product. Initially it heated up when tested but sat unused until cold weather came. Tested today and blanket not getting warm. 2 months old, unused and Amazon refusing to allow me to return it. Manufacturer website fails when trying to return/register a fault. Dreadful product & service. For the first time ever I’m really disappointed with an Amazon purchase. This brand was recommended to me by a friend but it clearly is faulty as there’s works well. As an electronic product I believe it is guaranteed for a year? Amazon is where I purchased the item and the manufacturer is not responding. This is a failure of my consumer rights. Steer well clear of this manufacturer is my recommendation and Amazon, I’m very disappointed in your responsibility or lack there of.

A Christmas present for my elderly mother who absolutely loves it. She declares she may not leave her sofa for the rest of the winter. Easy to control heating settings and heats quickly. Comfortable weight and very soft to the touch. A great purchase!

I have now had 2 of these. When they worked they were great lovely and warm, and I felt heated quite quickly. However one broke after 2 weeks and the replacement broke after 5 weeks. I am now attempting to get a refund via the actual maker as I can't seem to find a way to return an already exchanged item on the Amazon website.
