A**.
I cannot fully express how much I hated this.
I've tried so many times to write a review for this that is coherent and complies with Amazon's review guidelines. It's been three days after almost four months to get this read and I am just done with this taking a space in my Kindle Unlimited library. The biggest complaint that I have is that I read every word of this, as it was made available on 10.23.2022 when I borrowed it. It is PAINFULLY obvious that the author did NOT actually read this after they finished writing it. In my opinion, this wasn't ready for beta readers let alone full release. The plot inconsistencies are infuriating. There is no effort made at "scifi" to put this story on another planet other than giving a few characters green skin or a conehead, throwing "alien" in as a description a few times and putting in hover bikes and spacecraft without really describing ANYTHING. Some of the laziest scifi I'd read before this just did things like put another sun or moon in the sky, change the color of the sky or make the air feel different to signal that we're on another planet. Now I have this as an example of the very least a writer can do because their "Xani-12" has houses, vehicles, woods, bottled water, furniture and TOILET PAPER just like Earth. This would only have been acceptable if it ended up being an "it was Earth all along" twist at the end, but there is nothing here to indicate that the author has any familiarity with popular scifi movies to get that reference. The spelling of character names may change from one paragraph to the next. Characters are introduced only to be cast aside and blatantly FORGOTTEN for the majority of the story because this author wants to turn this into a series and just kept pulling things in because they clearly want to do something with it somewhere else. The term "monster" is used as everything from a slur and insult to something fetishized and heroic.I despise the main characters, Cameron and Max, by the end of this for so many reasons I literally cannot go into without getting heated. There's a derogatory gay slur unnecessarily used multiple times throughout this that makes absolutely NO SENSE when 1)this is supposed to be on another planet where English terms would not be used and 2)the Don, the villain of this piece, is male and takes male concubines so why would anyone be condemning male on male action on this world?!I just can't list all the problems with this and it just is not worth trying any more. Just know it is at least 100 pages too long and is ultimately unreadable. 0 stars. I do not recommend and will NEVER read another thing from this author.

Hot sex, plot coulda been better.
This was really a 3 star story. The high heat sexy times is what earned it another star. However, while the spicy times were awesome and naughty enough to delight me the story line needed work. Like a lot.The 2 MC’s never really had a “getting to know you” phase or even a conversation for that matter. They were just put in a high intensity situation and then were suddenly together. Very little character development in this story. The sex was hot though so I’ll probably read more from this author but I hope there plot lines improve. If you haven’t read Lily Mayne’s “Monstrous” series starting with “Soul Eater” you really need to. It’s ::chef’s kiss:: perfection of both an awesome story and sizzling spicy scenes that’ll singe your eyebrows off wrapped up in a beautiful love story.
