Just read it but be warned
What can I say but that its a book of horror stories by Howard Phillip Lovecraft, the greatest horror writer of all time and this book is a classic of horror fiction and fantasy. Just read it but be prepared to be scared out your skin by the things Lovecraft writes about. Of course, Lovecraft was from New England (Rhode Island to be exact) and taught Stephen King how to write horror fiction. Without Lovecraft, there never would have been a horror fiction genre at all. Then, in the future when the initial fear subsides and you can sleep at night again, you can thank me for steering you to his writings.

"That is not dead which can eternal lie..."
I have read so many versions of H.P. Lovecraft's work throughout my life - to see a hardback edition adds (to me) a credence of the masterful tales that the author, himself, was denied while impoverished during the roaring 20's. It is a testimony of old world honour, of belief in that Arkham House was founded on the belief that this man could pass on but his works could not. SO many of acclaimed writers get credit for their suspense & approach to sublime terror . . . yet the casual acquaintanceship with H.P. Lovecraft can easily reveal if not direct tiptoeing about the periphery of plagiarism from H.P.L - then implicitly using his works as a parallel basis for their stories. This is a wonderful body of work & I am confident that it will be a table-side companion there for me, patiently waiting for transit to KIngsport, Arkham, and even faraway yet elusively near Ulthar. .

Classic Spooky Stories
Arrived on time. It came w/a few other items and a few pages were creased along w/it’s cover. If that doesn’t bother you, as books are meant to be read, no big. It was t worth complaining about to me. However I’m an avid reader and collector of books so normally I’d have been irritated.

Cthulu Ftagn: H.P. Lovecraft
Lovecraft was and remains THE true master of Horror. No writer's vision since has ever matched his skewed perspective or created any universe equal to his for its macabre reality and creepy atmosphere. He is so unique as to stand utterly alone. He inspired a horde of followers. Even today, writers who try to emulate him and set their tales to his mythos. The tales of H.P. Lovecraft are best read at night, while you are alone and curled beneath a blanket, while it rains outside. Even better, beware the shadows while moonbeams creep through your window and the stars whisper their dark truth ....

The real Necronomicon!
The complete stories by H.P. Lovecraft, including his very first story written when he was just 17 years old! What's not to like? This is the only Lovecraft book you'll ever need to buy.
