Not the best in quality
Forced one door and the tip of one is all bent to hell. Still works as intended just wears down fairly quick.

Small hitting surface
These pieces are sturdy, but they have a really small hitting surface. When using in the real fight, night, etc., it is easy to be off just a smidge when swinging while wearing full gear and mask. As a result, the ends shear easy if not a direct hit. If the hitting surface was larger, they would be more effective. Not a single guy on the ladder company uses this these or this style of wedge for that reason. I like the red, which makes them easier to spot after the force though. These work much better as a door stop, not a forcible entry tool.

Wont hold that purchase point
If all you had was this wedge and a halligan, you’re going to have a hard time. Due to its high angle and size, it DOES NOT perform as a forcible entry tool.Revolution Fire Gear wedge that we use at the station does the job well and everytime.Ill hold onto it as a high visibility door stop.
