Brilliant.
A bit apprehensive replacing a good but older 27" Viewsonic monitor with the VP3481 but probably the best purchase I've made in a long time. Picture quality is incredible, the curved screen and viewing angles perfect and the build quality is superb. Was unsure about the size but even after only a couple of weeks I don't know how I managed with anything less than the 34" screen size. Multi tasking a breeze. The sound quality is about what you'd expect from built in monitor speakers but irrelevant when using a separate sound system. Really happy with it.

Poor colours
Bought this with the hope the colours would be great as this is what they advertise.Well, as soon as I got this home, the colours looked really warm (orange) and washed out.I used my Spyder X Pro calibration tool to recalibrate the monitor.First I used the Spyder software, which again showed the colours as warm and very dim.I then reset the monitor back to default and proceeded to calibrate it using the Viewsonic calibration hardware tool. After calibration it gave me a 98% SRGB which was great, but again the colours did looked washed out, and the brightness was on 100% which meant the screen was too bright.Once calibrated, you cannot turn down the brightness!Only way to turn it down, would be to choose the default SRGB setting (which apparently is calibrated at the factory) and manually adjust the brightness / contrast, which in my eyes, totally defeats the object of getting the colours correct.I am a wedding photographer, and rely on correct colours for print. This monitor also has problems with over sharpening images and text, so you cannot use the "Photographer" mode without having over sharp images and bold colours, total joke.My old Samsung 4k 28" monitor was far better and £400 less. Will return this piece of junk and look at other brands.Avoid this monitor, if you want great colour, non blurry text, and to be able to control the brightness.Over priced and there is better out there.

Quality, but colours not completely accurate out of the box
I ordered this monitor as I wanted to upgrade to a fully calibrated panel for complete colour accuracy so that when I print, the images come out exactly as I see them on the screen. The panel is a little on the cool side however based on my test, the dufference isn't massive, but still one I will need to consider when editing.Other than the colour accuracy, I'm very happy with the screen, however I haven't used it too extensively yet. I really like the wide curved style and the screen overall feels like a quality product.

Don’t buy used like new!!!
The monitor itself is great but watch your seller. Bought this used like new from VeiwTronic. Like New my ass. The display was cracked and busted (casing was completely fine). I love spending an hour unboxing and setting up a monitor only to have to box it up to send it back again. But the monitor is a great value once you get one that works.

Veteran Photoshop Nerd and I LOVE this monitor!
I am a professional Graphic Designer who LIVES in Photoshop 8-12 hours a day during the week and I am SUPER critical of color accuracy and image quality. For years I've worked with multiple monitors at a time and had one that I kept spot on calibrated and one that was my "dump" monitor for pallets and web and such. This 34" ultra-wide is PERFECT to use for everything without needing multiple monitors AND it's color accuracy and consistency is incredible. When I started looking to retire a first gen 5k iMac that I've been working on since it came out, to start using primarily my newer Macbook Pro as my primary system, I started researching monitors. Like Any serious Graphic Designer, I'd LOVE to be able to spend $4,000 to $5,000 on EIZO or other high end industry standard monitors but I don't have that kind of money. In doing my research I kept seeing incredible reviews equating Viewsonic to them in quality and performance. Their Pro line of monitors kept popping up time after time as a great alternative so I looked through all the offerings and settled on the VP3481. With the Size, Type C connectivity and the factory color calibration guaranteeing 100% SRGB and over 90% Adobe RGB, it was the sweet spot for my needs. The built in USB dock that not only provides power back to the laptop and carries the video signal and other information to multiple other USB ports made it a great docking alternative as well. I can leave most of my needed devices plugged in to the monitor and simply unplug the USB-C from my MacBook and It's ready to go. Leave my charger in the bag because the Monitor charges the Laptop. Really a great bonus on top of the outstanding graphic performance. My only critique, which isn't a super big deal to me but it might be to others, is the built in speakers. I didn't buy it for the audio but since it is part of the monitor, I'll address their quality and other issues. I am currently running macOS Catalina (yeah... I'm afraid of upgrading to Big Sur... been driver burned too many times to count). The speakers work but they don't allow native volume controls (keyboard or pulldown menu) to control the audio. You can only control the volume from the ViewSonic app. Not sure if it's an Apple thing or ViewSonic, but either way, it's annoying. The quality of the speakers isn't awful but it's not great so most of the time I just use the laptop speakers to avoid keeping the ViewSonic app open. Since I didn't buy it expecting breakthrough sound, it's not biggie to me.As for gaming quality, I put a 5-star but take that with a grain of salt because honestly, I don't game. The few games I do play don't challenge the refresh or anything so it doesn't really matter to me. Video plays BEAUTIFULLY and when editing using Premiere, the screen real estate is INCREDIBLE and makes it so much easier. The pixel density isn't true 4k but it's incredibly clear and perfect for most video editing and definitely great for still image editing.I whole heartedly recommend this monitor for Graphic Professionals. Color and performance are outstanding.

Couldn't Be Any Easier
I snapped the stand onto the screen. The standard power cord is utilized, as with my previous Asus monitor, so I used the existing cord and HDMI cable. That was it. No adjustments. I powered up my Windows 11 computer and enjoyed stunning resolution. The base is rock solid and takes up just a little more space than that of my 27" monitor. I originally looked at the 38" version of this product but couldn't justify double the expense for four additional inches of real estate.

I bought this to replace an LG ultrawide that stopped working after just a couple months. The picture is great, USB-C power delivery works reliably and the screen shakes less because the base is more substantial. My only complains after a couple months are:- The base is solid but it takes up a lot of desk space.- Since big curved monitors are such an awkward shape, you'll want to keep the box but it's huuuuge because the base is a single piece. It's seriously twice the size of the box for a comparable LG, Samsung, etc.- The settings are surprisingly hard to navigate. The onscreen menu is shown on the bottom right edge of the screen and you select a menu option by pressing the corresponding button at the same location but on the back of the monitor. The monitor is thick enough that you have to duck down to the right level to make sure the button you're pressing lines up with the menu item. Oh, and the power button is right there too, so don't accidentally turn the monitor off while you're in the middle of adjusting something. Terrible design.
