Great Starter SCOBY
Don’t be surprised that they’re SUPER full- it’s the gasses being released. I really like these and they worked extremely well for making Kombucha. In one brew, it pays for itself! And, I got it really fast and could start brewing right away. Plus, it’s cheap and I didn’t have to track one down from someone local which I’ve done before! Yay!

Great product
I have had great success with this brand and they are less expensive than another brand I tried that wasn’t as healthy and did not have success with.

Reliable product
It came with two healthy SCOBYs that I killed lmao. Don’t be like me, follow the directions they give you. I made too much tea and didn’t have enough starter liquid so it grew mold and I had to compost it 😭 be better than me. I didn’t mind paying what I paid for it when I thought it was the only option, but I ended up getting the one I have now for free from someone in a local gardening group on facebook.

Possible delivery and or packaging issue
The first of 2 sealed packets was open and scoby seemed dry due to the lack of liquid coverage. I don't believe the product is of poor quality but will not know since there are no refunds or exchanges allowed with this item.

start your brew with one that works and you should never need another
If you know what you're doing, this thing is going to have babies you can't give away. (Not that I recommend trying to give your children away, even if there is that one on your wish list)I give them away and throw out so many after you have one. It just dawned on me that there is an organic shop on the corner that doesn't have these or micogreens. Get a food sealer and a brochure, and I might be selling them like hotcakes.

3 inner pouches with leaked starter in all pouches
The package came so bloated. There was an inner container with what looked like to be starter liquid but the black and foil lined inside looked dirty. Then the final inner container had very little starter but a healthy looking scoby. I’m rolling with my trusted 1/2 gallon recipe and seeing if this was enough but doesn’t seem to be acidic but we will see.

Work well and grow very fast in my Kombucha. In just a couple of week they have tripled in size to cover the top of the jar I have them in.
