Awesome
This set is awesome. I was worried about my 3yo being able to build and pull it apart by himself, but he totally can. It's his favorite toy and he makes all kinds of different things. I love the creativity and imagination it encourages. The pieces have stood up well to him and his friends playing with it often. If you want a sturdy structure, it takes an adult helping make sure that the ball pieces are lined up properly and everything is snapped in right, but he can also play with it just fine by himself. Would definitely buy again, or even consider buying a second kit

5 year old loves it
Bought this fort kit as a christmas gift for my 5 year old daughter. She loves it and we building forts in the living room all the time. She even builds little forts for our pets. Easy to create forts with assistance. Not the easiest for a 5 year old but it is a lot of fun for me too.

Not for energetic kids
If you have quiet, gentle children, then this will probably work for you. If your kids are like mine and share many qualities with raccoons, then maybe skip this one. We found that only the lightest sheet could be used or else the whole structure would cave in. It does seem to make a difference if you put the little rings pointing up (read the directions). The sticks connect into the balls in such a way that they are kind of difficult to pull apart without breaking, so plan on being building these structures by yourself for maximum sanity. It's too difficult for at least 7 and under to build alone.

Over all happy
Kids love it and putting together there own designs and they are able to do it themselves they are 4 and 5 my only problem is it is a little unsteady when it is put together moves easily when pushed into but doesn't collapse just by being touched so over all like the product

My kids loved it.
We made a few different designs with these. A sheet works best for covering it to make a fort. Easy to assemble and disassemble. It’s nice that it fits back into the box for easy storage

Impressive Forts for All Ages
I often see fort kits reviewed by parents of toddlers and wonder if they will still hold the interest of my third grader. My son loved forts when he was younger, and he would have loved this. But, he was more interested in the fort itself rather than building it. His main contribution to the building back then was dragging his pillows and stuffies over. Now that he is older, he is able to follow the instructions and build impressive structures on his own or working together. This gives him the opportunity to follow the design of the examples given or be creative and make up his own designs. I like that he is learning about angles and building and engineering concepts through play.I previously purchased a fort kit with round balls, and I really do notice that the multi-sided balls used in this kit are better and more supportive. They don't slip as much on tile floor either. My son was able to understand that the flat side goes up, but at first, we missed that there is an etched circle around the side that should go up. That really does seem to make a difference in strengthening the connections. When there were issues with the connections being unsturdy, we troubleshooted and were able to find some errors on our end rather than with the materials. You shouldn't expect to make a structure that is strong enough to climb on from this type of fort kit. That is the trade off for the flexible plastic that is soft and safe. But, I am actually very impressed with how well this holds up when building larger structures. It might wobble a bit, but it is actually really strong and resists falling apart when bumped a bit as happens when kids are playing inside. A big throw blanket was too heavy, but a light sheet worked even on our largest structures.I am 5'5", and we were able to build a structure that I can stand up in, as well as structures that multiple kids or adults can sit in. There are definitely enough pieces in this set for us, although you can build even more massive structures with two kits. We don't really have room for that and are impressed at the sizes of the structures that can be made with this one kit of 120 pieces. The only thing that would make this set better is some additional longer sticks to make diagonal supports within the squares.Bottom Line: I definitely recommend this set. It's great quality and lots of fun for a wide variety of ages.

Disappointed
Pretty cool but really thin and don’t hold much up. Will not purchase again I should have spent more money on the better ones

Not sturdy
Great concept but definitely not sturdy. Feels like it’s going to break.

It does the job
It is all made out of plastic, but we managed to build a few different forts with the pieces. It can be a bit fiddly to put together and the balls have to be facing a certain way or you won't be able to finish the fort because the sticks won't line up with the balls... but once you figure this out it is pretty straight forward. The forts were sturdy enough to support a queen sheet over the top. Building with a 3 year old is not fun, as sticks become swords and impatience grows whilst you figure out how to build it. After building 2 forts, we had lost 7 sticks and 4 balls to plastic snapping.Overall, it's okay if you are looking for a few days of fun.
