Durable and handy
I've used a lot of different things for sanding on fine scale models. I would put these sanding sticks in the top 10. I love them and use them a lot

These work great! Very sturdy!
First and foremost, I found these sanding sticks to be incredibly sturdy. When working in tight spaces or delicate areas, it's crucial to have a tool that can withstand the pressure. These sticks did not disappoint! I applied a fair amount of force while sanding, and they held up perfectly without any signs of bending or breaking. This durability gave me the confidence to tackle even the trickiest sanding tasks. One of the standout features of these sanding sticks is the contoured side. It proved to be a game-changer for me. It effortlessly reached and smoothed out those hard-to-reach corners and curves, making the entire sanding process much easier and more efficient. I was able to achieve precise detailing work with ease, thanks to the thoughtful design of these sticks. The grit on these sanding sticks also deserves special mention. It bonds exceptionally well to the sticks, ensuring that it doesn't peel or wear off easily during use. This durability means I don't have to worry about the grit coming loose and potentially damaging my projects. The 280-grit size strikes a perfect balance, allowing me to achieve a smooth finish without removing too much material.

Gets hard to reach spots
I purchased these to help finish an oak chair, specifically to reach the spots were two pieces hit perpendicular and are hard to reach with regular sandpaper. These were ok, they did remove some of the finish, but each stick did not last very long and got worn out. It did do the job.

Great idea; so-so execution...
These are a great idea, and some aspects of them are great: the wood is *very* strong (and good for using in other projects once the sanding part is worn off), and the angled cutoff at the end is actually a useful addition - well, OK, subtraction, Heh! ;) - that I've used for moving tiny pieces, gathering glue, smoothing-over things glued into tiny corners, and so on.My disappointment is with the actual sanding head.First, and worst, is that the black adhesive comes off while sanding, which is not such a good thing when using pale, nearly-white woods...Second, though, is that it doesn't sand even relatively soft wood (balsa) all that well. It's not a fine grit per se, but the problem is that the grit which is there, is not very effective. It's passable, mostly, but I was hoping for something a *bit* more effective/"aggressive".

Perfect for 3d printing
My son who has a 3d printer had use these regularly for detailing in his work. Like an Emory board on stick, highly recommend. Great price as well

For small jobs
I need something to get into the nooks and cranny’s of a drawer trim that i was refinishing for a bathroom vanity. It could get into the corners but just wasn’t as hardy as I would have liked. I used several on one little half inch area. There might be a better use for these than what i needed it for but i am sure it will come in handy down the road with other projects.

Perfect for small details, crevices, and maintaining curves in trim/moulding
Exactly what I was looking for - and at a great price! I am able to precision sand the wood filler from my mitered corners in my trim. The size is perfect, the holding stick is strong, the grit is versatile. Love it!

Sanding sticks
I do smaller projects and these don’t work to sand certain area’s. They do work well on larger projects though.

Really handy to have in the kit box
These arrive wrapped in cellophane. It would have been nice to have a container for them as once opened they do tend to start spreading out and exploring your work space...The sticks themselves are wood and quite sturdy. You can apply a fair amount of pressure without fear of snapping them. That said, they are for plastic so little pressure is required. The sanding tips are well thought out with a flat edge, round edge and point. They get into most places that a flat file or sandpaper cannot.I use mine for sanding PLA (from 3D printers)The flat side I find wears smooth quite quickly, but I do give it some hammer. General fine, light sanding work lasts much longer. At the end of the day, these are throw away items - hence 100 sticks in a pack, but they will last (me) a long time and are a genuine God send for what I use them for.

Excellent for detailing on furniture
I bought these to work on an ornate bed I'm doing up. The sticks are robust and really good sanding tools for getting into the old paint and grunge in the corners of wooden moulding etc. Each one has a flat side angled towards a pointed tip, a curved back and grit all the way around so you can get into thinner spaces by using the stick side on. Can definitely recommend. May not be fine enough grit for plastic model making though.
