VERY easy to modify/upgrade this light to a light that's much better, that will: 1) Better stand up against the rain/weather and 2) Have TWICE the battery capacity and stay lit longer. Once the battery is added and the circuit board has been spray coated with conformal coating (just search on Amazon), simply use ample amounts of silicone sealant the entire way around the case edges and reassemble. NOW it won't leak. My criteria was: 1. It had to be inexpensive. 2. It had to have a decent light output. 3. It had to have a remote solar panel, so it could be mounted separate from the light itself, to allow the panel to be mounted on my shed roof. 4. It had to use an 18650 battery - very easy to buy inexpensive high-capacity extra battery. 5. It had to be easily opened to access the battery and circuit board (screwed together NOT glued). 6. It had to have room inside the case for the extra battery. This light satisfied all the above. EXCELLENT inexpensive and versatile little light that puts out a very respectable amount of light. Very nicely illuminates the 15' x 15' area in front of my shed. I mounted one light outside and the second light on the ceiling inside. It has absolutely no O-ring or seal of any kind between the case halves...so you'll really need to at least take it apart and seal it properly!!! That's part of why it's cheap. Enjoy!

Mounted both on our carport placing the solar panels outside for the sun to charge. So far these LED lights work well and we see them turn on several times at night. (Neighbors cat lurking around at night.) Pleased with them so far. Probably will never use the remotes. You have to be very close to the lights before these will work. Like a few feet! We just set them and forget them. Installation was very simple. Brightness satisfied our requirements. The extra cable length for the solar panels a big plus. We could mount the lights inside the carport where the lights worked the best. Then routed the solar panel cables outside to the sunshine. Nice.

For the price this unit certainly filled my modest need, which is to illuminate five steps up to my porch and a little bit of surrounding area. The four modes operate exactly as advertised so I have no complaints, as I have had in the past with other seller's devices. I deducted one star for the irritating little things: 1) The tiny and flimsy remote didn't work at all for me and no clue is provided as to how it's supposed to work, so I ditched it and had to place the light unit where I could reach the switch button 2) The sticker on the light screen (the worst place they could put it) is the devil to get off and leaves a sticky residue that soap or vinegar won't get off. 3) The directional adjustment is not a ball joint so you have limited placement options But it really does work.

I have a few of these and they work well. I've rewired one set to have a longer cord to the solar panel and they still work great. Not like car headlight bright, but plenty bright for some illumination in tough spots not near available electrical. Easy to install and set up. Great value for the money.

I really liked these solar lights. Installation is simple, and the fact that they are solar powered is very practical, as they don't need to be plugged into the mains.they also include a remote control and different lighting modes,allowing you to adapt them to you need. The 2 pack is ideal for lighting different areas of the house, patio,driveway, or garden.

Works great

I bought this pair of lights several months ago. I mounted the LED panel inside a shed with the solar panel mounted outside the shed, running the connecting wired around a gap between the shed door and door frame. The LEDs turned on in all modes IF the solar panel was NOT connected. However, the LEDs would NOT turn on IF the solar panel WAS connected. I was testing in the daytime, and assumed that I must have pinched the wire and created a short circuit. I was wrong. Putting the problem aside for a time, I came back and tried the second solar panel -- same outcome: no light when the solar panel was connected, but proper light operation when the solar panel was not connected (note: I was closing the shed door for these tests, and the inside of the shed is pitch black with the door closed). Testing was again done in daylight. Then I took the solar panel down from the shed exterior and brought it inside the shed -- and when I closed the shed door, the LEDs went on even though the solar panel was still connected. Further testing showed that the LED will NOT work IF there is too much light shining on the connected solar panel -- which includes my overhead walkway light between my house and the shed. So, during the daytime, the LED's will not work, and during the nighttime the LED's will not work due to the nearby walkway light illuminating the solar panel. Accordingly, this product is USELESS for illuminating a shed or other dark enclosure if there is too much light hitting the solar panel. So I'm junking these units and looking for another product that actually works for my scenario.

Honest review.. I waited to review after 6 months A5 beginn8ng all worked..I h7ng them via instructions and directions. I did not remove prior to ra8n or cold weather..cold as in 60..I'm in florida The lights don't hold charge now, only two work so if you want short term lighting to let dogs out.and in 6 months be on amazon looking for new lights then buy these. I originally bought due to brightness, look and motion function I wanted to get a year..i mean two years i would of bought again.but here i go looking for lights again...

These are not bright at all. They are just above a door and you can barely notice the light.
