I love my Mary Jane shoes and have a nice collection of all the different styles. I thought this pair of Mary Jane's would be a great start for my daughter to wear for school. I've read the reviews to help me decide what size to order and it was a great help in my final decision. The review stated that the sizes ran small so I ordered size 8 and my daughter wears a 7 in women's shoes. It fit her perfectly and was not snug so plenty of wiggle room for growth. The straps are velcro and they came with the buckle that you put on yourself.The feel of the shoes is flexible and not hard. The reviews I've read stated that the shoes had a funny smell and I had no issue with that from my order. All in all, I'm very happy with these Mary Jane platforms. Order up a size and keep in mind that the straps are velcro.

Though it was a little bit big, it fits well. The only problem I have, that might be fixable, is the strong sense of smell from the shoes. The bottom part of the shoe is damaged from a one time use, but I don’t mind overall.
