How can you be sure this is making good contact with the drive?

We provide the 4 thermal pads with 2 different sizes and thicknesses to make sure that fits all kinds of SSDs. If your SSD is flat, a large thermal pad surely would make a good contact with the heatsink. If your SSD is not flat due to its controller, dram and flash chips, we suggest that you could use small pieces of thermal pads to stick on chips where the heat comes from. That would make the sources of heat touches the heatsink evenly and conducts heat fast.
