101 Best Family Card Games

I really don't know. I had learned a new card game and was hoping it would be in the book. It wasn't so I looked it up on the internet. Found it and printed out and input it into the book for people to see. I know there are alot of card games.

I bought this book used. It is in very good condition and came on scheduled time. The book has lots of card games and very easy to learn new ones.

I ordered this for my husband because it was a book that I used to use when I was younger to learn all the best card games. I'm so excited to start playing some good old fashioned card games! I'm glad I could get him something he can use on deployment.

With todays rage for smartphone and tablet gaming & communication the good old pack of 52 cards is oft forgotten. Except when you play poker online or solitaire on your computer. This book however brings back the old style of play, sitting around a table or around on a floor the games are hilarious (Pig especially) or serious - with a great mix between. It means interaction and fun, which is a good thing.Games for 1 to lots of players. Great way to learn the proper rules for games.Take your time to work out the rules once you read an unfamiliar game, go through 1 or 2 trial runs until everyone gets the hang of it. I did buy this book for my 6 year old, she wasn't impressed at the time but 6 months later her nose is in it all the time and she constantly wants to play. So much so that I have to put the playing cards out of reach sometimes (need that break from time to time!).

I was hoping this book would help us to learn more card games as we are getting bored with the few we know, unfortunately I don't understand what the author is telling us to do in most of the explanations, maybe it's me and I need to read through them again and try and learn them with hubby before we attempt to teach the kids!

This book is ideal for reminding forgetful Granny how to play the various games I used to play with my grandmother. I have got 3 grandchildren living abroad so when we visit we have really good opportunities to play games and we spend wonderful hours competing. This book is just what I wanted and I shall leave it with them when we leave as there are other games which they can try.

A useful book for card lovers - I bought this as a present for a card-lover and he poured over it for a couple of weeks but then forgot all about it. Long explanations and occasionally not very clear instructions but it has got lots of good ideas so I do take it out every so often and we find something new hence the 4 stars

I bought this for my eldest son (12) along with a pack of cards for a Christmas gift. There are lots of games, all well explained, that will suit all the members of our family (2yr up). That means we can all play together, which is something of a triumph. We love it.
