Beauty and the Goblin King (Fairy Tale Heat Book 1)

Think beauty and the beast but spicy. This is not your child’s fairytale! This was an interesting version and the author has a few more spicy retellings. This is a quick read and it did hold my attention. The world building was good and I did like the characters. I gave it four stars because I felt the ending could have done without the spice part in the end. I enjoy spice but it felt like it was just there to be there. This is a steamy retelling, but there is more to the retelling than steam. I loved the characters, and I loved the way the elements of the fairy tale were woven in. I did find the sex scenes a bit boring by the end, but overall I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to more book by this author.Standalone. 1st person dual pov. No violence. Steamy. Some swearing.

I enjoyed reading this book 📚It is a confusing thing to read that Sabela put her arms around "HER" neck.And I was trying to decide if Mr. Vedast kept changing his name or if indeed there was a character named Mr. Vedant.Otherwise an enjoyable story.

Well, one knows the end early on but it’s interesting to read how the author changes the basic story to fit a steamy romance. I’ll probably read some of the other adaptions of fairytales this author writes. A fun and light read.

Honestly, I read this a few months ago and forgot to write the review until now. I do remember I liked it, it was well written, and it had varying elements that made it its own story, but still giving the "beauty and the beast" vibe.

The book was a Very good read. A page turner that was fast paced but engaging. Good story line that held the imagination.

I have finished reading this book and I have to say that it was very different than what I normally read. I don't know how to process it yet, but I was entertained by it very much so.

Although I was worried at first that the story relied too much on the basic Beast/Beauty trope, I was pleasantly surprised by the story’s development. Especially by the final outcome with the oldest sister.

Well this was different and that's a fact. Like many I'm a sucker for a fairy tale retold and yes Beauty and the Beast is definitely one of my favourites. So spotting this by a completely new to me author had me very curious and although I wasn't sure about the raunchy side of this initially it actually fit very well with the story this author is telling. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know and understand these characters and thought the twists used worked extremely well. So whilst it's not the longest book I've read recently it certainly entertained me. I will stress that this is a very adult tale though so please be aware before purchasing. I'd happily read more fairy tales from this author and sincerely look forward to discovering more of her work.

The BEST thing is that you forget the basis of the fairytale and read this for the inspired story it is. Full of adventure, mirth, characters with menace, bravery and others with honour. A love created out of desperation and fate. I always have a bit of a love/hate feel about grown up fairy tales - this perhaps the best I have read. I enjoyed the twisting storylines, the surprises, the humour and thoughtfulness that has been created for the reader’s enjoyment. I am looking forward to seeing if the other books in the series are equally as addictive!

This is the first book by Lidiya Foxglove that I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. An erotic retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a goblin in place of a mortal. All the basics were there with a few twists along the way.

I liked this. The concept that Beauty would actually willingly go to the Goblin King as she secretly found him alluring was interesting. It was a decent retelling of the original with some sexy scenes added.

I really enjoyed this but it really throws me out of the story when they miss words or don't use full stops. The story sticks pretty close to the original beauty and the beast but with goblins.
