Great sword, but unusable
My 12-year-old daughter ordered this to dress up like Tauriel and loved it, until the paint started to wear off of the hilt and leave painful tiny shards in her hands which she has been trying to remove with a tweezer for a week now.

Good sword but...read the description, not just the reviews.
This is an awesome looking sword, but it is definitely for the cosplay/no contact play. If you want a great looking sword for costumes, you can’t go wrong with this nice detail and paint for the price. If you want to spend the same amount of money on a sword for play, stick with Nerf or Heroes Edge, 100%. We’ve bought multiple sword and this one looks the best but is inappropriate for even light contact play. It’ll either hurt the kid(adult), the sword or both. Better description and warnings from the manufacturer would help limit expectations. Any pro LARPing review of this sword is BS! We won’t be buying another of this brand for contact but would 100% recommend for affordable cosplay to use as is or modify. Good luck.

Good toy
The media could not be loaded. They are supper cute and don't hurt when they smack you nice and light for my kids to play with but they did chipp off after being used for a few weeks but they do the job of plays swords. Update it lasted 5 months of constant play with my 2 boys before breaking so well worth it

Much better than expected!
So I understood when I purchased this that it was a costume piece. My daughter wanted a toy sword, and I wanted her to pick something at least nice enough for years of use, and cheap plastic swords are not my thing. This thing has been through battles, the paint is worn off the tip, and the kids have used it for light touch LARP games around the farm several times and it's still fine and no one has been injured. This is not an amazing display piece. It's not a good LARP weapon. But if you understand that it's a toy and go light, this thing is perfectly fine. We've had a ball with all of our foam swords.

From Middle-Earth On A Budget
Always wanted to add a nice replica of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins' iconic sword Sting to your collection, but didn't have $75 or $100 to spare? This foam sword is a very reasonable duplicate, at a fraction of the cost (and it won't rust). The very tip on mine was split, but a little Aleene's Tacky Glue and a drybrush of silver paint fixed it up almost invisibly. I would not use this sword for any kind of dueling or LARP event, it seems to have a curious combination of hard and delicate, but as a collectible and something to have at your side while you watch some movies, it's ideal.
